Stayed for the Retreat experience during Nov 25 harvest. Looking to regenerate family grove in AUS - very grateful for hosts’ willingness to share their learnings and practices - caring for their ancient olive trees as well as increasing yield through natural farming techniques. Farm to table meals were amazing with paired wines from local growers. Great to leisurely wander the grove or pitch in and get your hands dirty. As well as picking olives we learnt tree pruning, did cooking classes, oil and wine tastings, soap making, mill visit, tour of the local favourite sights and venues, star gazing, and homemade breakfast was delivered to the private rooms ready for each morning. Thanks so much Marilena & Frangiskos at Eumelia, would highly recommend the Retreat experience at harvest time to others. EVOO straight from the mill is so good. L & A
Heartfelt thank you to Marilena and Frangiskos for opening their wonderful home at the end of the year 2025. My eyes are still shining from all the beauty they have absorbed and my heart is full and nourished. Surprisingly, I discovered my love for cats. And I have fallen in love with Marilena‘s cooking. I feel heavenly grounded, inspired and grateful. And alive. I will never forget Frangiskos' passionate farm tour and his question on the roof of the main building: “How do you feel up here?” Perhaps we should start writing down our feelings rather than reviews. Then we might realize what gifts places like Eumelia are. And perhaps we will develop the desire to be the kind of guest that hosts never lose the joy of hospitality. May this year bring Eumelia and their lovely owners many blessings and fully support in living their highest good.
We spent two nights at Eumelia during our summer vacations and we really enjoyed our days! Amazing breakfast and nice dinner, we felt very welcomed by the staff, and being out in the wild is really regenerative!
