Saona Catamaran Cruise with Lunch and Natural Swimming Pool

We had an all-day private charter of the Quetzal catamaran to Saona island. Joy and Angele were very helpful with planning, booking, and specials requests for food. Charlotte and the rest of the catamaran crew were excellent hosts - they helped our group have a safe and pleasant day on the catamaran, Saona island beach and snorkeling in the natural swimming pool. They provided snorkels and life jackets when we requested them for snorkeling and a first aid kit when we had a small scrape on the corals on the beach. Food and drinks were great - the fish was freshly grilled on the catamaran. They helped us play our own music on their speakers on the boat. The boat was beautiful, spacious, and had a changing room and a restroom. It had a covered area in the back for shade large enough for more than 10 people and an open deck in front. A truly memorable day on the seas on the beautiful Quetzal.

This was an absolutely incredible day!! We wanted to go to Saona Isand and had seen it advertised EVERYWHERE with various different companies. All I can say is that I was 100% glad that I chose this company after looking through all the others. The difference is that when they say "small group" they really do follow through with that promise unlike the others. Our hotel was next to the sea and we could see all the catamarans go out each day and they where all crammed in like cattle with music blaring out.... Quetzal was the complete opposite of this! From the very start it was all about the laid back, relaxed vibes where after a safety briefing we were left to enjoy the catamaran and soak up the atmosphere. It really is a small group and it feels like you have the boat to yourself. Before you arrive at the island you stop up for some snorkeling and we were the only group there. This was the same when arriving to Saona Island, as after a quick water taxi to the shore you are escorted to another part of the island away from all the tourist groups. From what I gather, all the other tours go to a very tourist heavy part and its vastly overcrowded, however we were treated to a secluded part and were the only group there. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough!! Seriously, you need to go with this company. The only regret I have is that this was the first excursion we did and I therefore judged all the next trips against this one and they did not compare. You can do other trips with this company which we tried to get on but they were sadly sold out..... there is a very good reason why they sell out quickly.

This was the absolute most amazing catamaran tour I've ever been on!! The crew was professional, friendly and catered to us in every way. We went with a group of 15 friends and had the boat to ourselves. They took care of us so well and the food was superb. We felt completely spoiled and pampered. They took us to a private area of the beach on Saona Island. We had it all to ourselves and it was such a gorgeous place. The most beautiful water I've ever seen and postcard like pictures were at every turn. We saw so many other catamarans passing us jam packed with people and all of us thought we were so lucky to have picked this company!! Don't think twice. This is the best company to use by far!!
