An amazing wine tour with an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide, one of the best we've experienced! Definitely worth a visit!
The place itself is beautiful, and the wine was amazing I finally get the hype around Georgian wine. My guide was super knowledgeable and made everything really easy to understand without feeling too formal. I left with a couple of bottles and a new appreciation for the region.
The visit to this winery is a very interesting experience for anyone in the Kakheti region. The tour is very well organized and includes a complete explanation of the entire winemaking process, from the modern to the ancestral. Our guide spoke English fluently and was very clear. The highlight of the tour was seeing up close how they use the ancient and traditional "qvevri" method, those large clay pots buried in the ground, which are the heart of Georgian viticulture. After learning about the production, the tour ends with a tasting of several of the house's wines. We did not pay for admission, as the tour was already part of a larger tour package we booked, but the standard visit with tasting appears to be free.
