A lot of people but worth the experience!

Lovely market, above average but not at the level of Bruges. Stand out stalls were the homemade hot chocolate where you could choose between white, milk, brown or dark chocolate as your base. Delicious and highly recommend! And the Nutella crepes directly across. Scrooge stall was the coconut rolls stand. Never having this before, my daughter raved about the ones she’s tasted for the first time in Aachen. There, they were offered a sample taste before proceeding to buy 5. I wanted a sample to see if I would buy, leaning off course to buy anyway. But the guy was so short to the point of rudeness when I asked if he had a sample to taste. There were chunks left on the baking sheets which he could have offered. Not just respond with “no sample”. Nothing more. We left feeling embarrassed and put off. Sies on you. We don’t expect freebies but a good salesperson is always willing to go a small way. Scrooge and stingy.

Gent was a lovely place, lovely shops, the churches and other buildings were amazing the market was over crowded felt uncomfortable as there was no room to look at the stalls we were pushed and shoved no crowd control

It was really fun to be there. It was crowded but very fun. The view was amazing. The lights were shining bright. I loved the place and atmosphere. I hope I can be there next year too.
