I was skeptical at first, since this was our initial hotel restaurant stop on the trip, but boy was I wrong as it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The place has a super elegant vibe with plenty of great menu options to choose from. I went for the reindeer burger and the smoked trout roe, both of which were absolutely amazing in flavor and presentation. My wife opted for the mushroom soup, and she raved about it too. Even the breakfast the next morning was delicious, rounding out a fantastic experience. The service was super friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Definitely recommend!

A fine hotel and restaurant. Had an absolutely wonderful experience. Dinner was phenomenal - sirloin steak was much needed after a long day and the burata salad was incredibly innovative - Great wines to boot!

It's a very beautiful relaxing place with all you need in Iceland! It's a perfect place to stay in the middle of your trip. The rooms with open windows wall donate you a beautiful experience with a view day n night.... Bathtubs, that's make you relax in the hot thermal water outside in the fresh air is a top. Full breakfast in a magic place.Staff in this hotel is very professional and greeting,which makes you smile more. It's a very magic, beautiful place for dreaming . I loved it!!!

We didn't have reservations, but it was not a busy night for dinner. I read the good and bad reviews, but I'm happy we came. It seems that they remodeled in March of 2024. Service was great, food was lovely, and the dining hall was designed nicely. (However, I could see how a large group or a full house could make this place very noisy. ) The lamb was soft, tender, and tasty. The char was done well with a buttery sauce. I would come again.

I read a lot of reviews before I came but I must say I was positively surprised! Perhaps they changed the chef - our food was amazing. The room seems freshly renovated and has a nice cozy and modern vibe. The staff was very friendly and the views of course amazing! Big plus also for the various milk options for breakfast.
