Ice cave - Adventures dream

Experience the wonder of Iceland’s ice caves on this immersive tour designed for those who want more time to explore the glacier and its natural surroundings. Visit less crowded ice caves with ample opportunity to admire and photograph the stunning formations. Depending on the day, you may walk on the glacier to reach the cave, adding an adventurous element to your journey. The tour lasts approximately four to six hours depending on the location and weather. You will travel in a super jeep as close to the glacier as possible, hike through the glacier area, and explore the naturally formed ice caves. All caves are shaped by nature, so the experience can vary daily, and alternative extraordinary locations will be provided if ice caves are not accessible. Safety is a priority, and guides choose the best ice cave for each trip.

The tour includes an English speaking guide and a customized super jeep for glacier access. All necessary gear is provided, including backpack, crampons, helmets, ice axes, headlamps if needed, and a first aid kit. The meeting point is at Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon with GPS coordinates Latitude 64.048399 Longitude -16.179443. Guests are advised to wear walking boots and warm socks, with the option to rent hiking shoes if needed. Dress in two to three layers of warm clothing such as wool or fleece jumpers, windproof and waterproof jackets and trousers, hat, mittens, and bring sunglasses and a camera to capture the incredible scenery.
