Devi’s Fall is a nice place to visit if you are in Pokhara. The waterfall is unique and looks beautiful, especially after rainfall. The area is well known and easy to reach, so it’s good for a short stop during sightseeing. However, the place can get crowded and the visit doesn’t take much time. Overall, it’s worth seeing once if you’re already in Pokhara, but don’t expect to spend too long there.

A waterfalls spot located in a park which vanishes deep into the underground. It seems that is very less visible above the ground and goes much deeper inside the gorge in the earth. This invisible part of the falls is somewhat visible in from inside the deepest point in the Gupteshwar Mahadev cave. The name of the site came from a Swedish man David whose daughter lost her life swimming somewhere near this falls. This falls is said to be connected with Phewa lake and Furse Khola river. Lot of local orange sellers from the nearby orchard with fresh cheap oranges is an added attraction for orange lovers. The ticket price is 100NPR. Recommended for visit.

Devi’s Fall in Pokhara is one of those places that beautifully blends natural power, mystery, and cultural history. The moment you enter the site, you can feel the immense force of the water as it disappears into a deep underground tunnel. Locally known as Patale Chango, this waterfall is formed by the outflow of Phewa Lake, creating a dramatic gorge that is both mesmerizing and unique. The geological formation is truly impressive—constantly shaped by the flowing water carving through limestone over centuries. The history and myth behind Devi’s Fall add an emotional and intriguing layer to the visit. The most popular legend says that a Swiss woman named Devi was swept away by the strong currents while bathing in the area with her husband back in the 1960s. Her tragic disappearance into the underground tunnel led locals to name the waterfall in her memory. This story, combined with the natural mystery of the long, dark cave beneath the fall, gives the place a distinct sense of reverence and wonder. While the site is undoubtedly beautiful, there is room for enhancing the visitor experience and safety. The barriers and viewpoints currently provided feel a bit limited, and clearer, well-protected viewing platforms would make a huge difference. A cantilevered glass bridge or an elevated transparent platform above the main drop would offer safer, more exciting views while helping manage crowd movement during peak hours. Such additions would greatly improve visibility while maintaining safety for all visitors. Overall, Devi’s Fall is a must-visit attraction in Pokhara—powerful, mysterious, and deeply connected to local history. With a few improvements in viewing arrangements and safety measures, this incredible natural wonder could offer an even more world-class experience. Still, the raw beauty and fascinating geology make it a highlight of Pokhara’s sightseeing circuit. Highly recommended for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone curious about Nepal’s natural and cultural heritage.

Devi's Fall is a must-visit spot in Pokhara for both tourists and families. The waterfall is stunning, especially after rainfall, when the sound and power of the water disappearing into the underground tunnel are truly mesmerizing. The area is safe and well-maintained, with fenced viewpoints, small shops, and local snack stalls nearby. It's a compact site, so you don't need too much time here - around 30-45 minutes is perfect to enjoy the views and take photos. Don't forget to visit Gupteshwor Cave just across the road for a complete experience. A lovely stop that combines nature, local legend, and a bit of adventure for everyone!

Nice place. Though I expected it to be an open waterfall where we can enjoy with some water also. However, upon reaching I came to know why it wasn't an open waterfall. The water was falling with extreme pressure. Very beautiful and serene place. Just sitting there was giving calm feel. Good place to visit when in pokhara.
