We will begin our journey by visiting Angkor Wat, one of the most iconic temples in Cambodia, built between 1113 and 1150 AD by King Suryavarman II. This massive temple, measuring 330 meters by 260 meters, features three levels and five main towers. Its walls are adorned with intricate bas-reliefs that depict scenes from ancient Hindu mythology and a significant war during King Suryavarman II’s reign. Angkor Wat has become a national symbol of Cambodia, even appearing on the country's flag as it represents the soul of the nation.
Next, we will head to Angkor Thom City, starting with a stop at the South Gate, a grand entrance to the ancient city. From here, we’ll continue to the Bayon Temple, which was constructed in the 13th century by King Jayavarman VII. Bayon is renowned for its many galleries of bas-reliefs that offer a glimpse into daily life during that era, as well as its famous towering faces that gaze down from all angles. After exploring Bayon, the tour will continue to visit Baphuon Temple, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the Royal Palace. The final stop of the day will be at Ta Prohm Temple, which gained worldwide fame through its appearance in the Tomb Raider movie. Built during the mid-12th to 13th centuries, Ta Prohm originally functioned as a Buddhist monastery and university, and today it stands as a stunning example of nature’s reclamation of ancient ruins.

We had an incredible three days exploring around Siem Reap with Ta Proum. He speaks excellent English and has a huge amount of knowledge about the places we visited and Cambodian history in general. The first day through Kulen National Park was unforgettable, even in the rain — we saw temples, waterfalls, and amazing views. Day two covered Angkor Wat and the tree temple, and day three was spent riding through local villages and the floating village area. Ta Proum was super friendly, funny, and always made sure everyone was safe and enjoying themselves. When we had no accommodation after the first day, he even invited us to stay with his lovely family — such a generous and genuine guy. Highly recommend booking with him if you want a fun, authentic, and well-organised motorbike adventure around Siem Reap!

We had a great private day tour of Angkor Wat and the nearby temples. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, spoke to us in English & Spanish and shared lots of interesting stories about the history and culture. Everything ran smoothly, and we never felt rushed. Getting around by tuk tuk was a fun way to see the area and take in the scenery. Overall, a really enjoyable and well-organised experience — highly recommend!

We had the most amazing experience exploring Angkor Wat and other temples with our tour guide! He was not only super knowledgeable but also fun, kind, and full of great energy. He explained everything in a way that made the history and culture come alive — it felt like we were walking through a real-life story. He also knew the best photo spots and helped us capture incredible memories. If you want a tour that’s special, meaningful, and truly unforgettable, you have to book with him. 100% recommended — one of the highlights of our trip to Cambodia! 🇰🇭✨

Ta Proum is an excellent tour guide and we would highly recommend him. He studied history at University and also worked for UNESCO so he is very knowledgeable about Angkor Wat and the history of the Khmer people. He speaks excellent English and was able to create a custom tour to meet our needs. He also has a car with AC which is really nice when going between temples during the hot Cambodian days. Bonus he knows all the great picture spots and takes great photos.

Taproum is an extraordinary tour guide and human being. He is so polite and he has great knowledge of the temples and all Cambodian history. We shared 2 days with him and we got to visit a lot of temples so if you are coming to Angkor do not hesitate to contact him. We did a private tour with him by car and I can't recommend it enough. Thanks you for everything and I hope we can meet again in the future 🤙😃😃
