This unforgettable Northern Lights kayaking adventure is a 1 to 2 hour guided night tour through the calm water canals of the charming village of Stokkseyri in South Iceland. With only headlamps illuminating the water ahead, the guide leads the group quietly through the dark canals toward the viewing area. Once at the destination, headlamps are turned off and participants look up to witness the aurora borealis dancing across the night sky, creating a magical and mesmerizing atmosphere unlike any other.
After enjoying the Northern Lights, the journey continues back to base with silent paddling through the stillness of the night. The experience is enriched by the sounds of nature, including the distant surf and the calls of seabirds echoing through the darkness. This romantic and enchanting tour operates during winter months from October through March, as long as the lake is not frozen. Departures take place between 8:00 pm and 1:00 am by prior arrangement and are suitable for participants aged fourteen and above, with a minimum of five and a maximum of fifty guests.

Right on the water. The host and his sister are very kind. We had cod that was so tender. We went in October and were the only guests. Very quiet, tidy and comfortable. You can eat outside looking at the water in nice weather. Horses right around the corner as is the henge and lighthouse. It's been updated and you enter into an empty small hall and take the elevator upstairs.

🌞We were not a hotel guests but we came to hotel with hope that we can eat something on the way 🪷😀 Everything in the town was closed on sunday and owner of the hotel saved our lives from being hungry and he offered us that he will prepare late breakfast for us, he made very good scrambled eggs and gave us everything we needed. Very kind person⚘️ :) And very good view from hotel restaurant to the bay.

We arrived late and not only did the fellow wait up for us to arrive, but because we had missed the restaurant closing and hadn't eaten, he very kindly and generously went back and whipped us up the most amazing pulled pork sandwiches we've ever had! Super lovely brother and sister pair run the hotel and take SUCH great care of their guests. The hotel is also super close to the Arctic Henge and you have an awesome view of it from the parking lot. There's also an amazing view of the harbour. I highly, highly recommend staying here! Wish we could stay longer!

We had a fantastic stay, the owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We arrived very late and hungry, and he generously offered us a delicious fish soup. The hotel is beautifully maintained, and full of details that show real care. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, clean, and comfortable place to stay.

Hands down the best food we had in Iceland. The burger and cod loin(fished on the same day by the owner’s son!) was out of this world. We’ve been to fancy hotels and restaurants, none beats the food OR the service. Fantastic staff! The view was also incredible. Rooms are spacious, cozy and clean. Shower cabins are a bit small but honestly I’m a huge dude.
