We had an amazing experience at Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu and it was the perfect way to finish our day at Mount Takao. We visited as two adults and two children after taking the cable car up the mountain and walking to the summit. After a full day of hiking, coming straight down to the onsen next to Takaosanguchi Station was incredibly convenient and exactly what we needed. The facilities are excellent and very well maintained. There is a large variety of baths, including indoor and outdoor pools, natural hot spring baths with different temperatures, a dry sauna, and a cold plunge pool. The outdoor bathing area is especially relaxing and feels great after a long walk. Soap and shampoo are provided, and we rented towels on site, which made the visit very easy and hassle free. Even though it was quite busy when we arrived, the staff were outstanding. They were constantly cleaning, checking the pools, refilling amenities, and helping guests, all while remaining friendly and efficient. The onsen is also very foreigner friendly, with clear signs and easy-to-follow instructions, which made the experience comfortable and stress free. After bathing, we stayed for dinner and really enjoyed the food as well, making it a complete and relaxing end to our day trip. Overall, Keio Takaosan Onsen Gokurakuyu is fantastic value for money and an absolute must if you are visiting Mount Takao. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking to relax after hiking.

Jordan was amazing. we were a little late due to train changes but the train was quiet clean and he was communicative and waited. it was just me and my daughter and we went straight up to the chair lift, learned the beautiful history of the mtn, learning about the monkeys and feeding them was cool. Ramen was amazing and so we're the staff. the hike up and down was a bit tough at times but we conquered it and got to to see the backside of the mtns on the other side. next was the museum at the bottom which was informative and then on to the onsen which was much needed. after an hr. he actually drove us to a closer train station so we would closer to return. def a must book! thanks Jordan

An incredible experience and great guidance from Jordan! Mount Takao offers the perfect balance between a challenging hike and a relaxing nature escape. I chose the hiking route to the summit, and I’m so glad I did. Jordan was amazing, he shared fascinating details about the local flora, fauna, and the history of the shrines we passed along the way. Once at the top, the view was breathtaking and seeing the majestic Mt. Fuji made me truly understand why mountains are so revered in Shintoism (something Jordan had just explained during the hiking). To top it off, we visited Buddhist temples on the descent, enjoyed delicious ramen, and ended the day at a traditional onsen (public hot spring). It was the perfect Japanese experience. Jordan is kind, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, I can't recommend him enough!

Awesome experience with Jordan who was just an amazing guide the whole day being really kind and knowing really well all the history behind every temple, statues, trees and all the things we saw. Ramen was excellent and finishing the day by going to the Onsen was just perfect and relaxing before going back home. Thanks again to Jordan for this day!

This onsen have all of the facilities as advertised, and the water quality is just too good! Multiple baths are available, and they even have a bicarbonated pool that is quite rare They have a massage spa that offers great value services but I haven't tried it as there is a long queue. Same with their food offerings What I liked is their tatami rest area. Having a place to nap after a mountain trail and onsen soak is just perfect. Location is perfect too, just beside the station The only negative thing here is the sheer smount of people as it is just that good. Do come early or call for a reservation if you can

I enjoyed a relaxing visit to this mountain retreat. The baths and sauna offer a soothing experience. Guests can also go for a meal at the on-site restaurant or rest in the cozy relaxation areas.

This onsen is located right next to the Takaosanguchi station. After a tiring day hiking up and down Mount Takao, this is the perfect way to refresh and recharge yourself. The outdoor hot water baths are just the right temperature. And if you forget to pack extra clothes, there are convenience stores a 10-ish walk away. Highly recommended (unless you have tattoos)

1,100 for adults on normal days. 1,30p on weekends and holidays. I went on a holiday so it was very full but the rotenburo was really nice. The carbonated spa and sauna was also good. Nice and relaxing to go to after hiking.
