Organization was a disaster!!! We booked and paid two game drives: one whole day game drive starting at 8 am and an early morning game drive the next day. With a delay of 1 1/2 hours, we arrived at the safari airport and started the drive. The drive itself was really amazing and our guide took us to the right places to see amazing animals. However, once we arrived back at the lodge, the disaster started. We were told that we would do a bush walk and boat tour instead of the private game drive the next day, we booked and payed. We could however purchase a “new” game drive. Then they told us, that our flight back was a 50/50 chance, it is going to happen. After several hours of discussing with the manager, we were informed that they already knew that the flight was canceled long before we even arrived at the safari. That evening, after another discussion with the manager, we were told we are now booked on the morning flight back to Zanzibar - and that the safari tours we had originally booked and payed in the morning would be refunded. In the next morning, the same (!!) manger did not know who we were and the discussion we had, 5 hours before. So we started all over again!! Not sure, if we will receive a refund for the safaris we weren’t able to take but I hope so! Overall: Gamedrive itself was amazing but the Organisation and the communication with customers and hotel manager is terrible and not at all recommendable!
They organised a cool trip for us. We went to Prison Island, Stone town and Spice farm. Specially interesting was the spice farm with tasting and small lunch. Thanks to the guide for showing us the rooftop coffee shop. We had an amazing guide, that’s why 5 stars.
What a great day . Got picked up at 4am from our hotel . The driver Achmed was great giving us a guided driver there and back. Got to the airport everything was done professionally and smoothly. Then we got to Mikumi and what a great day our driver Asenga was very professional pointing out all the animals and showing us all what we wanted to see. Being so close to the animals was amazing . A excellent day and worth every pound. Thank you
