Booked with Serengeti Smiles safari and beach hotel back in Aug25 then went on the actual trip in Dec25. Private trip 9 days safari and 9 days beach medium budget. Our guide was Justine (guy) he was pretty cool - knew the safari parks very well, organized, good attitude, we were super pleased with how he was able to keep the safari mementum going each day. Stayed within the seregeti national park which was super cool, glamping with the animals, the beach hotels were beach side which is pretty convenient. A few disclaimer with Serengeti Smiles. 1. There are upfront deposits - i was a little weary of that but it all worked out so no complaints 2. Book the tour in advance - some hotels book up early during peak times and some of the alternative hotels are not as good 3. Land rovers typically how 6-7ppl so the more the merrier 4. Everything booked will include dinner - so if you want to explore Zanzibar just maybe ask for it to be excluded Anyway super memorable trip, big shout out to Patricia (SS) for helping organize the trip & most importantly Justine (SS tour guide) for being an awesome guide
Our safari with Serengeti Smile was an absolute highlight, and we owe much of that to our guide Domician. He was punctual every single day, perfectly prepared, and guided us through the national parks with great calm and experience. His driving was very safe, yet efficient, and it was obvious how well he knew every route and corner of the area. Thanks to his training as a ranger, he has an impressive knowledge of wildlife and vegetation. He answered all our questions with patience and always knew where we would have the best chances of spotting animals. Because of this, we were able to see not only the Big Five, but also cheetahs, hippos, and many other animals. There wasn’t a single day we didn’t return absolutely thrilled. We were also very impressed that Serengeti Smile is a local company that ensures fair working conditions and proper pay for its staff. Knowing that we were supporting an ethical and community-based organisation made our trip feel even more meaningful. For us, the entire experience was perfect – 10/10, without any hesitation. We would recommend Serengeti Smile, and especially Domician, to our family and friends anytime.
I went on an amazing 3 day safari with my husband, 5 of our travel buddies and our amazing tour guide Libe. Out trip to Tanzania was an unforgettable experience. I recommend this travel company to anyone wanting to go on a safari in the Serengeti, Tarangire, and the Ngorongo Crater. The accommodations were above my expectations and I stayed in a tent in the Serengeti with all the amenities (shower, running water, comfortable beds and delicious food). The staff was friendly and they made everyone feel at home away from home. I highly recommend our tour guide Libe!
