We had a great stay in 2023. Hippo’s were walking at night on the camp ground, zebra’s during the day. Unfortunately, due to rising lake levels, the hotel is now closed. You can see the remains of the restaurant on the last picture, taken September 2025. They are opening a new one on the hills. We are sure it will be equally good!
We stayed here for one night during our Safari. The rooms are good but seem a bit worn out. We still had a comfortable stay. What I really would like to highlight is the food - this was definitely the best food we had during our 1 week safari!
We stayed one night at Africa Safari Lake Manyara and it was an excellent experience. I start with the space that was worthy of a Safari where mother nature is present in every way. We stayed in a tent above the water and close to the animals and it was incredible! We woke up to Zebras and Wildebeests at the door (don't be afraid, they don't attack), as well as monkeys and during the night we heard hyenas and hippos. The view of the lake is incredible and the sunset is unique. As for the food, buffet style, nothing to say and the staff is very generous and friendly. I recommend this place to stay overnight, as the price/quality is really good.
