We have just arrived in Xi'an early this morning as our flight from Kuala Lumpur. Firstly, I have to congratulate to the Government of China and the immigration team. We landed at Terminal 5 and found the airport is huge, well set up and clean. We were screened for our temperature and our hand carry luggage. As we have registered our arrival online, we were led to the queue for immigration screening immediately. We were very impressed with the auto translation system at the immigration counters. The system will communicate with you on the instructions in your respective language. We have travelled to various countries and we have yet to encounter such effort being implemented elsewhere. The immigration officers are very friendly and the process was very efficient and fast. Thank you again to the immigration team at Terminal 5.
Magnificent modern airport. Lots of shops and amenities. Long walks to get to gates so leave plenty of time.
Nice and convenient hotel in Terminal 2 (domestic). The entrance is inside of the airport just go to the departures floor where the counters are for the airlines and between section J and G you will find the door. Pass a corridor and you will be on floor 3 of the hotel. Reception is on the 1st floor. Rooms are big and spacious. Hotel is very quiet and clean. Breakfast is ok.
