Experience The Natural Wonders And Cultural Heritage Of The Quebrada De Las Conchas

This two-day adventure begins in the city of Salta, leading you through the center and south of the Lerma Valley before entering the spectacular Quebrada de Las Conchas Natural Reserve. This region is famous for its unique geological formations, or geoforms, carved by wind and water over millions of years. You will encounter striking natural monuments such as La Garganta del Diablo, El Amphitheater, Las Ventanas, Los Castillos, La Yesera, El Sapo, El Fraile, and El Obelisco.

In the town of Cafayate, you will have the opportunity to visit a local winery to taste some of the finest wines produced in this high-altitude region. The area is renowned for its Torrontés grapes, which thrive in the unique climate of the valley. After enjoying a traditional lunch, you will return to Salta, having experienced the breathtaking beauty of the natural reserve and the rich viticultural traditions that define this part of northern Argentina.

The second part of the journey focuses on destinations recognized as UNESCO Natural and Cultural Heritage sites. You will visit unique towns such as Purmamarca, famous for the stunning Hill of the 7 Colors, and Maimará, known for its Painter's Palettes. These landscapes are characterized by their vibrant, multi-colored rock formations that change appearance throughout the day. The route also includes a stop in Tilcara to explore the Pucará, a high mountain fortress with significant archaeological ruins.

The tour continues to Uquia, where you can visit a local ceramic factory, before arriving in the city of Humahuaca, the largest town in the Quebrada. This region is a melting pot of indigenous cultures and colonial history, offering a deep look into the traditions of the Andean people. By the end of this two-day excursion, you will have explored some of the most incredible landscapes and cultural monuments in the country, leaving with unforgettable memories of the north.
