The airport is clean and soo big, but the problem was language barrier mostly when it came to giving directions around the airport. Public wifi was very very slow and hard to connect, making communication very hard. There were no duty free shops, limited selections for international restaurants. Only ate at subway

Took a connecting flight here to Urumqi. Nice airport though we only made a stopover. Impressive handling of luggage as seen on the screen while waiting by the conveyor belt to retrieve our luggage. Kudos to the staff.

Changsha Huanghua airport is a surprisingly large airport. It serves as a hub for Hunan province and services both domestic and international flights. It's quite large and spacious and I find that it's a bit more modern than other airports in more popular cities in China.

Good Connectivity to CHANGSHA KEY TRAIN STATIONS [CHANGSHA and CHANGSHANAN (Changsha South).] Changsha Huanghua airport is connected by Metro and Maglev train to link you to the main train stations in Changsha. To get to High Speed train station at CHANGSHANAN (SOUTH), take Metro Line 6 from Airport Station to RENMIN EAST ROAD station. Then change to Metro Line 2 to JINTAI station. This station is just a few minutes walk to the High Speed Rail station that can connect you to other major cities in China (especially Zhangjiajie). Just ask for assistance from the counter if you need help.
