Such a rich history, I am always taken back at the things I learn on our journeys. Worth the time. We picked 3 miles just to see each mine.

You definitely don't want to miss this museum The history is fabulous here and you can even take a hike to look at everything or a longer hike to actually go up to a few of the mines. The Rock collection is fantastic as well as the history of the area and how things were done they also have an excellent gift shop with some really interesting books for ideas on exploring where you live.

5 stars just for the amazing staff! We visited for a quick trip and didn't explore much outside of the indoor museum, but the the 2 staff members were so helpful and informative. The inside rock gallery and exhibits were very interesting. Worth the visit.

For a nominal admission fee of $5, you can tour a former mine at your own pace. Each of the featured structures come with their respective interpretative signs or descriptions on the brochure. It is quite frightening to look at a bottomless mine from above. We have a lot of respect for the hard work and sacrifice of miners whose stories are untold. It is just about a mile to walk the premise but we spent an entire morning.

This is a must-see location if you are staying a few days in Tonopah and enjoy learning about the mining history of Tonopah. This historical location consists of a museum and numerous buildings and mining equipment used during the heyday of this mine. The museum is not very large, but it is full of unique items related to mining as well as numerous photographs from the past. There is plenty of parking in front of the museum and it is also where you park if you have signed up for a tour. The staff here is simply the best, extremely knowledgeable and really a lot of fun to talk to about mining back in the early days of the 1900s. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jeff Marin and Grace Gearhart who made our visit the very best. Grace was our tour guide today and she was so much fun, and you can tell quite quickly that she loves her job and knows what she is talking about. Since there were no other people at the museum or on the tour, we were able to have Grace for close to four hours of touring the mine park. When we returned to the museum, Jeff was much than willing to address any additional questions we had concerning the park. We tried to include as many photos as possible, so people can see for themselves how wonderful this place is and why it is worth the visit. The museum also offers a military discount, and the tour is absolutely worth the price, which is more than reasonable, if downright a bargain for such a place. Finally, we spent all morning or approximately 5-6 hours here and that is still not enough to learn and see all that is here, we will be back again.
