We booked for NYE. I tried to book well in advance - the website said "not available". By the time I managed to book (two person table, live tango show) the booking did confirm, and then I received a WhatsApp message saying there was a website error and that was sold out. We were relegated to a balcony shared table with the tango show on a screen. Yes the communication was good but the mix up meant we weren't given what we wanted and it was too late to change. We were then told pick up would be at the hotel and they would advise when on their way, between 7:30-9pm. Massive pick up window! Naturally, having communicated by WhatsApp this whole time, we assumed we would be sent a message there. Nope. at 8:45pm I asked the hotel for help (we had been waiting in the lounge and in reception). They called - someone had "dropped by" at 7:30pm AT THE HOTEL and they CALLED OUR ROOM. Of course we weren't there - but no communication via WhatsApp - so they left. We then had to pay for our own Uber to the venue. It was hot, we arrived late, the service was terrible and even the people at our shared table felt sorry for us and tried to help flag down waiters for the meal, drinks and even water! The food itself was very average - apparently there were options, but we weren't given any, just thrown down standard plates of mutton and an inedible vegetable dish. The show was virtually non viewable as everyone was standing in the way. Overall a really dismal and disappointing experience for an exorbitant amount of money. Also to this day, no follow up to my WhatsApp message about the transfer issue. I do not recommend for NYE, do something else!
A really lovely experience! The tango show was wonderful to watch, beautifully performed and full of atmosphere. The food was good as well, making the whole evening feel complete. I truly enjoyed it and can absolutely recommend it.
It was a wonderful experience, the Tango dance was sensational; the waiters and the drivers were all very helpful.
