These guys know what they’re doing! From the very start, all my interactions with Abraão Tour were pleasant and positive: their responsiveness, professionalism and kindness were evident right off the bat. Iasmin is a sweetheart and made sure my friends and I got our travel arrangements taken care of and that we had an amazing time in Ilha Grande. If you need accommodation, transfer or tours, do not hesitate to contact them. Highly recommend!
Why only 3 stars? Non portuguese speaking clients are not really appreciated. Don't get me wrong, I'm aware I'm in a foreign country and I can't expect everyone to speak English. But if all the vendors speak very well English. The checkin is also possible in English and all of the staff at the collection point speak with you in English, you expect to have at least a bilingual trip. Nobody tells you before the trip, everything is only in Portuguese. But still, all of the staff is very friendly and helpful. And also the safety is very high. My trip was cancelled, because of the weather changed earlier than expected. After the cancellation I could get my money back without any discussion. But I decided to take one of the shorter trips, which would take place. So far so good, but then the surprise. One of the guides explained before the trip for 10 minutes several things in Portuguese and brought the group in a good mood. After that another guide explained in 5 short sentences a few basics in English. But it was definitely less then before with the other guide. A bilingual client told me that. And at the end the English guide said, btw your captain doesn't speak English. Ok, that's odd I thought. But still I was looking forward to the trip. But when we arrived at the first beach, the captain explained some things about the beach for several minutes. After that he asked who speaks English and nearly half of the boat was from abroad. He handed out one single booklet for 9 people and that was it with English. He definitely could speak proper English, because he was speaking once with a guy, but he preferred to keep the Portuguese crowd in a good mood and leave the other half of the boat out. The places were all nice, still. But a tour is also about having a good time, coming from the guides and the ambience. We all felt left out and it was not really a nice experience. I've asked the vendors after the trip if this is normal and they confirmed that's normal. the trips are only in Portuguese. That's the company's policy. So if you are a foreigner and not able to speak Portuguese look for another tour!
We really enjoyed the Super Sul tour with our sailor Wallace! Even though we don’t speak Portuguese, he explained everything to us really well and gave us enough time to explore during the stops. The lunch we had at Dois Rios was yummy. Great tour :-)
