We booked a tandem paragliding flight. The organization was exactly as described. They picked us up from the hotel, and once we arrived, they explained everything clearly. The instructor was matched to our weight, and the equipment was of good quality. The flight itself was amazing — flying over Rio is out of this world. I highly recommend getting the 360° video; it’s an incredible keepsake.
The flight itself was an amazing experience :) 5 stars for that. However, there were some issues: - I wanted to try hang gliding but when I arrived they said that with my weight that's not possible. I way 90 kg and on the website they say it's possible up to 100 kg. Why don't you tell it like it is on the website so people don't get a bad surprise when they arrive? - If you pay at the location, there is a surcharge of 10 % for paying by card. This is a lot! Also, there is no mention of that when you book online. At least mention this surcharge before so people know what to expect. - After booking online you have to pay an additional insurance. It's not much but please tell people before.
The flight itself was cool, but it was only 5-7 minutes out of our four-hour waiting time. The weather conditions weren't exactly flight-worthy, so we had to wait a long time. We were supposed to be picked up at the designated spot at 1:00, but nobody showed up. Then I contacted the administrator on WhatsApp, and he said that the weather wasn't good for flying right now and that they would be able to pick us up in half an hour. In reality, it ended up being longer, meaning they didn't give us any warning and just forgot about us. Then, when we got to the top of the mountain, there were 12 people ahead of us in line. I understand that time is relative, but still. Then, after another two hours of waiting, we found out that we had one pilot for two of us. We found this out right before the flight. So my husband had to wait another 40 minutes for the pilot to get back. The waiting was so exhausting that the flight didn't feel as cool anymore. We wasted a lot of nerves and energy. I wouldn't recommend using this company, if you don’t like waste your time.
