the guide, Bellen, at the Palenque ruins was incredible! very nice, communicative, knowledgeable. This was the best part of the whole tour. It was raining, and the agua Azul was actually agua marron, so we didn't swim there. just looked at the river

Be careful of this operator. You don´t get a tour guide for the tour, you just get a guide at the archeological place of Palenque for one hour who trys to charge you again. The drivers don´t speak one word english and raced like crazy through on the long way to the waterfalls in the mountains. Only he know who he was racing against. We don´t know. It was very dangerous and of course uncomfortable. You can´t enjoy anything of the landscape cause of this behavoir. Arrived in Aqua Azul you only get brown mudy water instead of crystal clear blue water you had could swim in what was promised in the description. Later we got know, that this situation exists allready for a longer time because of heavy rain falls. So the company should have known about this but didn´t give any notice about this huge difference to their description. Complaining at the operator about these problems they acted absolutely unrepentant. So it is kind of scamm. Local operator offer same package for 40% of this price.

An enjoyable but long day. There was a mix up about whether we had an English speaking guide at the ruins, but this was quickly resolved and the guide was then excellent. There is a lot of time spent in the minibus and you don’t arrive in Agua Azul (which is where you get lunch) until about 3pm. However, both waterfalls were beautiful and worth visiting.
