Without doubt the best decision we made while in Lisbon. First off, the booking process was very easy and Fabio was extremely responsive via email to all our questions prior to booking thoroughly explaining the tours and process. We were actually able to book our tour the night before for the very next morning as we arrived in Lisbon a day earlier than anticipated. We opted for the Private, 2-person Sintra/Cascais Tour and had Tiago as our driver/personal tour guide and couldn't have been happier. His knowledge of the entire the Lisbon area and history of Portugal is extensive and imparted his own stories to make it more personal. Although the weather wasn't the best to start out at both the Pena Palace and Quinto da Regaleira by the end of the day at Cascais it was picture perfect. The best part of booking this tour was the ability to get to things quickly with less queuing or having to do a lot of walking prior to the actual attractions themselves. It seems like when planning this trip on your own it's no problem but when you're actually there, it's a different story. Even in the 'low season' there were still ample lines and traffic which would have slowed down the ability to enjoy the day. Also, being able to personalize where and when we did attractions and to be able to pivot as needed was super helpful especially when the weather was less than perfect. Tiago's ability to navigate the narrow Sintra streets was almost unbelievable. He also took us personally to many food spots and scenic lookouts we would not have found on our own. Traveling with him was like having a personal Portuguese friend take you around as if you were a local. When the trip was concluded, he even texted us a list of recommended restaurants, sightseeing and wine offerings for us to take advantage of while in Lisbon. Thank you again Tiago for working on your only day off to be our private guide for the day; We learned so much and the experience would not have been the same without you! If you are ever in Chicago, perhaps we can return the favor and show you the 'Windy City' with as much enthusiasm as you showed us.
The best tour we have ever been on. Rui our tour guide gave us so much history about Portugal. Took us into places we have never imagined were there.
