We have crafted a truly immersive experience that allows our guests to step into the heart of local Italian life. This unique journey takes you through the rich tapestry of Italian art, food, and nature, as we explore the untouched beauty of the Regional Park of Appia Antica. This path, once traveled by ancient Romans, offers a glimpse into both the past and the present of this captivating region.
Our adventure begins in the Caffarella Valley, a verdant oasis nestled within Rome’s city limits. As we stroll through this picturesque landscape, we will visit its fascinating historical sites while delving into its geographical and environmental significance. The valley is a sanctuary of nature, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling city, yet rich in layers of history and culture.
Next, we make our way to the legendary Appian Way, one of Rome’s oldest and most important roads. Here, we’ll visit the ancient Ruins of the Circus of Maxentius, an awe-inspiring historical site that once hosted grand chariot races. We will also explore the archaeological site of Capo di Bove, an area filled with Roman relics and artifacts that tell the story of an ancient civilization.
As we make our way back to the meeting point, we will take a moment to pause and relax in a shaded spot, enjoying a traditional Italian picnic. We will indulge in a carefully prepared spread of delicious local delicacies, including fresh cheeses, flavorful salami, and a selection of finger foods, all complemented by fine wine. This laid-back meal will allow you to savor the tastes of Italy while soaking in the serene atmosphere of this historic region. It’s a chance to connect with both the local culture and the stunning natural beauty surrounding you.

Great bike tour. I was the only one on it. Very informative and friendly tour guide. (Cant remember his name though. I got to see a part of Rome I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Bernie was a super guide. He really kept us moving and was very fun to talk with when we stopped. The bikes worked as they should. We were put into a group with two other families that were super nice. We represented IL, VA, and FL. Highly recommend this tour!

Had the most wonderful time today with Glen & Sylvia who took us on an afternoon E Bike tour of the Catacombs and then along the Appian Way and past the Aqua ducts. It was a glimpse of Rome we would never have seen by ourselves. The beauty and the history was awesome, and the "Apéritif” provided along the way was ridiculously good. So plentiful and filling that there was no need to go elsewhere to eat after the tour concluded. Seriously, do yourself a favour and book this tour. We could not recommend Glen, Sylvia and their gorgeous dog Peter enough.

Amazing experience!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny, electric bikes made the ride very pleasant. We also got to taste authentic Italian cuisine in a lovely restaurant of the countryside. Everything was perfect, we would highly recommend both the tour and the bike company.

Marvelous afternoon, a great time spent out of the city exploring jaw dropping scenery. The ebikes were very fun, it was a nice break after a few days of walking around Rome. Our guide Richard was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone!
