Combine two of Argentina’s most fascinating historic sites on a full-day adventure from Puerto Iguazú. Begin your journey at the UNESCO-listed ruins of San Ignacio Miní, one of the best-preserved Jesuit missions in the country. Wander through the intricate stonework, explore the ancient church, and marvel at the original town layout with its squares, cemeteries, and colonial houses. Your guide will bring the history alive, sharing stories of the Jesuit missionaries, local indigenous communities, and the cultural significance of this remarkable site. Capture photos of the ruins set against the lush Argentine landscape, providing memories to last a lifetime.
In the afternoon, venture underground to the Wanda Mines, a fascinating world where precious stones like turquoise, amethyst, and rock crystal are extracted. Learn about the mining process, the geology of the region, and the incredible variety of gemstones. Walk through tunnels and admire sparkling minerals embedded in the rock. This unique combination of cultural history and natural wonders makes for a truly unforgettable day exploring the heart of Misiones Province. The guide was polite and kind, he can speak English, the pick up was on time, but the trip to San Ignacio was very long. Around 3.5 hours from city Centre, lunch at the restaurant was quite good.

Do NOT use this tour if you don’t understand Spanish, even though the tour says English! Only the guides at the mines and mission speak English. The 6 hr drive the driver/guide only spoke in Spanish. Could not understand hence did not know where to meet, time, whether stopping for lunch, for how long etc. The tour also stopped for a marketing trip at a mate factory without informing before hand and the guides there all spoke only Spanish. The unnecessary stop delayed returning and the tour was closer to 13 hrs than 10 hrs. But the pick up went great, van was clean and sufficiently comfortable.

The company responsible, Tangol tours should be avoided at all costs. The were unprofessional, admit that they made many mistakes, yet somehow still blame US (the victims of their incompetence) for having not been able to participate in their tour. We were left sitting in front of (we assume) their former offices in the early morning while their bus was looking for a completely different customer (booked for a different day) at the other end of town. GYG help was very responsive but neither we nor they had any contact info for the tour guide (our only contact was Tangol’s office administrator who discovered our predicament at 9 am when she started work: our tour was long gone by then…). Yet this is still somehow all our fault so neither refund nor compensation is on offer. You are warned

One of the places had English guide but the other didn't, which is disappointed because we did ask for English tour
