Glad we dropped by this place on our way to Port Arthur. Spent around two hours walking around... As we arrived early, we were able to explore the zoo and see the animals without the crowd... A good pit stop on the way to Port Arthur especially with kids..
This place is awesome! You're able to feed kangaroos and birds (during their designated feeding time) never been so close to a kangaroo before! And during the bird feeding they kept landing on everyone's arms or heads! Very friendly animals and very nice staff! Would 100% go if you're in the area
Great rehab, conservation and rehoming in the wild methods used here. Only a few animals are allowed to be viewed by the Public (eg for close encounters and/or feeding), and these are on rotation, so as not to upset them too much. Staff told us about the 10% off deal when buying tickets for both the Unzoo & Pt Arthur Historic Site online whikst we were there, which was very helpful as we were going to see both places anyway.
