Best money spent! We booked a 1 day safari and was not disappointed. They picked us up from our hotel, made a stop at a winery on the way there, had an included buffet at the resort once we got there. Saw the big 5 along with other native animals and our tour guide was super informative. They even have a secluded bar serving water and sparkling wine in the game reserve! Icing on the cake was seeing the family of elephants walking as we were taking a dip in the pool!

Went on a day trip to the safari reserve. An amazing experience! saw only 4 of the big 5 (the leopard is always hard to find) but well worth the trip! Booked directly on their website which was easy and direct. Including transfer from downtown CPT and return. After the morning safari in a truck, we relaxed and the pool, had lunch and then went on a horseback ride to see the animals again. Great experience, got even closer to the animals then when in the truck. and the silence of being on horseback together with the wild animals was sensational.

Over marketed and promoted. Rated a 4 star, but not quite. Rooms are okay, clean but we found hairs on the sheets and dirt under the pull out bed. No TV in the room. Shower was very slow in terms on pressure. Rooms service was good, but lacking in that theu didn't take away dirty dishes, just made the bed and replaced towels. Food is average. Lots of variety but lacks flavour. Okay at best. No room service. Drinks were additional cost and cocktails were sad. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the place is very commercialised. Suited for non-Africans. The game drive are good as there the animals are in the reserve and are fed daily. For people who haven't seen wild animals this would be a good place to vist. To illustrate the commercialisation.. we initially booked 3 nights. Then when we called to confirm they said the booking was not available anymore. After some back and forth we secured the booking. Then whilst on our way, 10mins to reaching the place, we get a WhatsApp message saying our booking has been cancelled as they are over booked and they can put transfer to a near by lodge (much cheaper than what we paid) and they are sorry. Nonetheless, we arrived and checked in and we still got out room. The place was very busy with day visitors and everything just seemed more of a "run-of-the-mill" experience than a true safari experience.

We stayed here for three days to visit the safari and see the animals, as well as to enjoy the spa and relax. We saw and enjoyed many animals during the truck safari. I also did the horse riding safari (45 minutes) and the quad safari (also 45 minutes) and I really liked both experiences even tho I felt it was too short (I would have love to be all day in the quad and have more time to explore and watch animals). My only comment is that the area where the animals are kept is enclosed, so it is not a true “safari” where you have to search for them. The animals are all within a closed space and cannot leave. The lions are kept in enclosed areas, and you can only enter to see them with the safari truck. The animals seem very accustomed to the sound of quads and trucks, as we were very close to them and they didn’t react at all (especially the rhinos). This is not what you would normally experience with truly wild animals. However, this also makes the experience safer, as the animals are fed with compliments so that they aren’t hungry and you can get very close to them and take great pictures. Another point is that I would have loved to watch the animals for longer. The tours are quite short, and you usually spend only 30 seconds to one minute with each animal before moving on to the next. The spa was nice, and the buffet food was delicious. The meat in particular was excellent (kudu, ostrich, beef, etc.) I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed, safe safari rather than a fully wild one, especially families or people traveling with children who prefer less risk and a more controlled experience.

We had a fantastic stay as a family (1 x 10 month old on board!). Welcome drinks excellent. We stayed in the Karoo cottage with the world’s biggest bed. Suitable for a young family with a cot (one child). Great air con too! The game drive was incredible, if bringing a child it’s a bit of a bumpy ride so bring a secure carrier and we would suggest keeping them facing inwards. We saw all the animals up close and our guide was excellent too! The kids area was open from 7, Jasmine was so unbelievably excellent with our little one as we played together! Food was a buffet service for all 3 meals but a great variety and delicious dinner food. Wine was great too. We had a windy few days so struggled with the lack of shade around the pool (although that is nobody’s fault), and the pool was quite chilly, which on a hot day is welcomed! All in all, great work team. Thoroughly recommended!
