Embark on a profound journey into the heart of Zanzibar, a land where ancient spirits whisper timeless secrets and the boundaries of time seem to blur. This is more than a tour; it is a pilgrimage—a deep, soulful exploration into your own being, woven into the fabric of Zanzibar's mystical heritage.

As you traverse the island's rich cultural tapestry, you will encounter a profound reverence for the ancient gods of Zanzibar's indigenous people. This is your opportunity to witness and partake in age-old rituals, dancing in harmony with the echoes of the past. It's an invitation to reconnect with your ancestral roots, to feel the pulse of life that has sustained this land for millennia, and to touch the spiritual essence of its people.

Your path leads you to a cavern, a sacred space that has witnessed human history for over 30,000 years. In this ancient shelter, the weight of time is tangible, offering a direct link to our shared past. Above you, a lush, vibrant forest—once the site of a bustling marketplace—now hums with life, its quiet energy inviting you to slow down and listen to the whispers of nature. Here, you will learn to attune your senses, absorbing the ancient wisdom of the plants and flowers, drawing healing energy from the very earth beneath your feet.

The journey continues into the stillness of Swahili Sufi meditation, where you will find peace and clarity. The rhythmic cadence of the Swahili language, woven into a living prayer, will guide you toward a deeper understanding of mindfulness, helping you to embrace the present moment with grace and awareness.

This is not just a tour; it is a transformative experience—one that honors the past, celebrates the present, and nurtures a sustainable connection with the natural world. It’s a journey of spiritual awakening, offering you the chance to rediscover the deep well of wisdom within yourself and in the world around you. Here, in Zanzibar, the soul finds its true rhythm.

An unforgettable stay – thanks to Mohamed Omar! Our family had a truly wonderful experience at Fruit & Spice Wellness Resort. The resort itself is stunning – surrounded by nature, beautifully maintained, peaceful, and full of charm. Everything from the villas to the food and the beach felt luxurious and thoughtfully designed. But what made our stay exceptional was our personal butler, Mohamed Omar. He is simply outstanding – professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. Mohamed took care of every detail with great efficiency and genuine warmth. He anticipated our needs before we even mentioned them, always with a smile and sincere care. His presence turned a great vacation into an extraordinary one. Mohamed represents the very best of hospitality – intelligent, proactive, respectful, and emotionally intuitive. We will always remember his kindness and the way he made us feel at home. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a perfect combination of comfort, nature, and five-star service. And if you’re lucky enough to be assisted by Mohamed – your stay will be unforgettable— Ram Ben-Asher & Family

I spent my honeymoon at this hotel with my husband, we booked the Deluxe Room. Let's start with the positives: the hotel itself is actually very pretty with a nice pool. There are enough sunbeds located everywhere, you can rent out beach towels for free. The staff is very friendly, sometimes too friendly if you know what I mean (the constant "jambo jambo" and "hakuna matata" every 5 seconds was kinda irritating especially while we were eating). The room was big enough, with a nice shower with hot water at all times. We had a few power outages but only for a few minutes so it was ok. The internet is stable. We were visited by a cheeky monkey on our balcony many times, which was very cute. :) The food was tasty most of the time and we liked the special dinners on the beach / at the pool with live music twice a week. Now let's go to the negatives: the hotel beach really disappointed us. It was not "crystal-clear blue water" as advertised on their website, it was very dirty and the beach itself as well. We didn't go swimming there as we had planned because it wasn't inviting at all. What a shame. It wasn't how I imagined a beach in Zanzibar at all. I saw many much better ones in Europe for sure. Also, the lovely pier you can see in the pictures is non-existant. I was really looking forward to walking on it and taking some nice pictures at sunset but it just wasn't really there anymore. Not sure if they're ever gonna rebuild it. We wanted to rent out jetskis - they were under maintance. We wanted to use a jacuzzi in the spa - under maintanace. Quite disappointing for a 5* hotel to be honest. At first we didn't have a tv in our room - we asked for it - and then it turned out it didn't work. No working channels. I expected a Smart-TV in a 5* hotel to be quite frank. The staff was friendly but they liked to completely forget or mess up our orders quite often. Sometimes we had to ask three times for a glass of Coke. Sometimes it didn't come at all. Very annoying. Room service was quite bad, after two hours no reaction. They should definitely work on that. We had an impression that some of the staff don't really understand basic English at all. And like, they said they would come pick up our luggagge when we were about to check out and they never did. It wasn't a big problem to carry it ourselves, but my point is - if you say you're gonna do something - do it. We had a buffet breakfast and dinner - mostly very delicious, no complaints here. However, lunch was à la carte and the menu was very short, not too many choices and half of it was missing every day. You can't make such a short menu and then say that only 3 dishes are available. We booked the all inclusive option and half of the stuff was not all inclusive anyway, this was very annoying. Like, a beer was included but a glass of wine not. This coctail yes, the other one not. But maybe it's like that everywhere, I don't know. And then there little things, like they have the cheapest single layer toilet paper there, they take our dirty towels and sometimes give new ones after 6 hours or so; just very inefficient. OH, and don't use the laundry service - I paid 8 dollars for one item and they didnt even wash it properly, it still had stains. I washed it back home and it was no problem at all for my standard washing machine. Overall we had a nice holiday but there a few things they should definitely work on. 3/5.

We booked 3 nights at Fruit & Spice in the honeymoon villa, which was supposed to include a private pool, private jacuzzi, and private butler. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations at all: 1. When we arrived at the villa, we saw that the jacuzzi was dirty — it was full of sand. 2. When I put my hand into the jacuzzi, I got an electric shock! We immediately told our butler about it and said we didn’t feel safe using it. He told us that it was safe and that he would send the maintenance guy anyway. Of course, we didn’t use the jacuzzi at all because we didn’t trust it. 3. One of us is vegetarian. I emailed the hotel a month (!) before our arrival asking them to prepare some vegetarian dishes with tofu. They replied that it would be no problem. However, when we got there, no one knew about it, and we ended up eating mostly rice, vegetables, and junk food. 4. After all these issues, we told our butler we wanted to speak with the manager. At first, he said the manager was in a meeting and would speak to us later. Later, when we asked again, he said the manager had left for a conference in Stone Town. We never got to speak with him at all. To conclude, the entire experience was really disappointing and disrespectful. It’s important to note that this wasn’t our first hotel in Zanzibar during our honeymoon. In all the other places we stayed (which were much less expensive), the staff treated us completely differently — always happy to help and even making sure to provide tofu for meals, or offering something else to make sure we were satisfied. Here, there was zero effort, and once again, this was the most expensive hotel of our trip. All in all, it’s not worth your money. I decided to give 2 stars instead of 1, because: 1. The non-vegetarian food was quite good. 2. The lady at the pool bar was really nice.

I was recommended the resort and looked forward to staying at a wellness resort to experience the Zanzibar culture of wellness….but I can’t say there was anything wellness about the place apart from the beautiful gardens and what they do to nature. The gardens are wonderful and full credit to the team who look after this. The brand of wellness is now often overused to describe a destination but sadly it is also reflects very badly on a place that doesn’t deliver the promise. The gym is old, using second rate equipment and is hidden away. The food is ok, but again nothing to do with plant-based or wellness cooking methods…… The rooms are size wise good, but in serious need of an upgrade. The spa looked great and has a good treatment menu and rooms. Staff were in general friendly but lacked training and a warm smile. The Front Office Manager was kind and always trying his best, whereas the Management seem to practice the tell them style with the Head Chef looking angry and not inspiring anyone. It’s delivered excellent value for money stay, but the hole place is in serious need of an overhaul as it actually could be a lovely place to visit. The road in needs a big upgrade but once you enter the environment looks beautiful and welcoming…..
