Husky Camp is based at Sirdal Huskyfarm, located in the beautiful surroundings of Runtleneset in Sirdal. The camp offers a wide variety of activities from morning to evening, both on land and on water, including dog sledding, horse riding, raft building, bow and arrow, paddling, fishing, mountain walks, swimming, and balancing on a line. Quieter communal activities such as games, storytelling, sauna, bonfires, and quizzes are also available. Participants stay in small cabins and are grouped according to age and gender, with close access to sanitary facilities including toilets and showers. Dining takes place in the main building, and most meals are eaten there, though outdoor meals are also encouraged. Healthy food is provided, and special dietary needs or allergies should be noted at registration. An adult is always available at night to ensure the children’s safety and well-being.

The camp costs NOK 4,100 and includes three overnight stays, four meals per day, all scheduled activities, daily snacks such as fruit, berries, or vegetables, and various additional treats. Children are encouraged not to bring mobile phones to focus on activities, though they can use the camp phone if needed to contact home. Pictures and videos are posted on Facebook for parents to follow along with the camp experience. The camp has experience handling homesickness and communicates openly with parents if a child misses home. Arrival is on Monday at 15:00, and departure is on Thursday at 18:00. Sirdal Huskyfarm is located about 14 kilometers below Sinnes, with clear signage from the main road.

We had an outstanding experience with Harkin Husky's farm and dogsledding today!! Truly was a lovely experience. The guides are friendly, clear with instructions, and care deeply about the dogs. The dogs were clearly very well cared for too. They were excited to be harnessed up to the sleds, and didn't want to stop come end of the tour. We had a chance to see the professional race teams load up and start out for a training session which was cool to see. Overall I would highly recommend booking a dogsledding trip at Harkin Husky's Farm through Best Arctic.

A wonderful experience! We had the best time. We were greeted in a friendly manner and made to feel welcome. Instructions were clear and the programme for the visit clearly outlined. We had a welcome drink and delicious fish soup for lunch with tasty flat bread whilst our host informed us about the farm and the Alaskan huskies. Then we suited up, received clear instructions on how to manage the sled and headed out. We were on the morning session and the scenery and light was magical. The dogs were so strong and we flew along on the snow and ice. Halfway around we swapped passenger to driver so everyone had a turn to mush. Such fun and a truly amazing experience. We had time to thank and cuddle the dogs too. Thoroughly recommend.

I was treated to an experience of a lifetime at Harkinn Husky farm. I don’t even know how to put it into words! From the scenery, the dogs, the sledding, the staff - every bit of this experience was like a slice of heaven. I cannot recommend this more highly. Please do yourself a favour, if you’re in Tromso spend the day here. You won’t regret it for a second. Thank you for making my dreams come true team. You are doing such amazing things and run such an incredible place for these dogs. It was a privilege to meet you and the canine family ❤️ Can’t wait to come back!!!

The tour started with us getting suits and gloves to keep warm. After that, the dogs and carts were already prepared, and we didn’t get to participate in getting the dogs ready, which I expected would be part of the experience. We then did a short loop around the property that lasted about 20 minutes. On some uphill parts, we had to get off and push the cart to help the dogs. After returning, we switched drivers and went out for another 20 minutes on the exact same loop. By the second round, the dogs were clearly tired, and I found myself doing quite a bit of pushing and running to help them. The terrain wasn’t smooth either, with some potholes and uneven areas. The actual dog carting part lasted about 45 minutes in total. Afterward, we went to a hut for soup and a warm drink, where we relaxed and talked for about an hour. The entire experience lasted only about 2 hours, even though I booked and paid for a 4-hour tour. Overall, I was disappointed. It felt much shorter and less interactive than advertised.
