The view before the last 2 km of steep path is stunning beautiful with autumn color and Fitz roy and the top of Fitz roy is beautiful with lake too
A 3-4 hour hike from El Chalten town. The danger is slippery walks, so take your time and watch your step. It is a steep climb. Also the sun can be strong, so protect yourselves with sunglasses, a long hat or umbrella. Bring an extra water bottle.
We did Laguna de los Tres and Torre Lagoon hikes, so basically a full loop. It took us 2 hrs 20 mins in moderate tempo to get to Laguna de los Tres and 5 hrs 30 mins for full loop with stops for food and pictures. We arrived at 9 am and it wasn't crowded. Some crowds at the final climb to Laguna de los Tres and back, but it's manageable.
