This coastline is shaped by wind sea and light creating an inspiring environment for landscape and seascape photography. Serene archipelagos smooth granite rocks and clear water offer endless visual stories for nature lovers. Every location along the coast carries a strong sense of maritime heritage and natural harmony making it a rewarding destination for those who seek meaningful and expressive images. During this immersive photography journey we explore the most inspiring coastal locations between Gothenburg and Fjallbacka with a strong focus on light composition and storytelling. We photograph mainly during mornings and evenings to take advantage of the most atmospheric conditions while using daytime hours for image review and creative development. Together we study the results of each shoot and refine them through thoughtful post processing. Guidance is given through a clear and effective Lightroom workflow that helps enhance mood balance and visual impact. Landscape Locations Dolomites trip 2025. Wow, what a fantastic trip to the Dolomites with Melvin Nicholson. Stunning locations with a spectacular view at every turn. Melvin met us all at the airport, organised everything to perfection, took us to the best of locations and knew exactly where the best viewpoints would be as the weather and light changed. That only comes from the experience of having run this tour over many years! On location, we could have as much help as we needed as Melvin was always on hand. Sometimes just subtle suggestions about composition or settings were super helpful. The two hotels were perfect, one even having a top-class spa. So, after a week-long brilliant experience, with a fantastic group of like-minded people, I would like to say, “thank you" to Melvin, & Landscape Locations.

I very much enjoyed my recent 6 day Dolomites workshop with Melvin Nicholson. The organisation and communication was very efficient, the hotels ( especially the first) were well located and very comfortable, which was welcome after long days in the mountains. The weather was not kind to us but Melvin adapted the itinerary to ensure that we could get the best shots possible and he was unstinting in his pursuit of the elusive sunrise and sunset! What made the trip so enjoyable was the company. A great fun and supportive group of fellow photographers led in pursuit of coffee, cakes and that elusive sunset by Melvin whose knowledge of the area and good humour ensured the clouds did not rain on our parade! Thanks for a great week.

Just back from a fantastic autumnal trip to beautiful Slovenia with Landscape Locations. Chris Frost and Julia Martin were excellent leaders. The itinerary was really well planned and varied, with stunning locations from dawn to sunset. Also a number of interesting indoor venues reserved for a particularly wet day. Chris and Julia were very generous with their expertise, tuition and encouragement in my own photography journey. I return with great memories, new photography skills and wanting more! Thank you Chris and Julia for a great time. Thank you to Melvin

Slovenia - Jan 2025 with Melvin Nicholson and Chris Frost The Winter in Slovenia workshop was the first landscape workshop I have attended. Our leaders Melvin and Chris ensured we were at the best locations for the light and weather conditions. It's a magical country with stunning photo opportunities and although we didn't have snow in the valleys our 4WD vehicles got us up high in the mountains where we were presented with hidden huts and stunning snowy peaks. Melvin and Chris were like the entertainer and educator they had the group buzzing. It was a great laugh, a scenic tour and a photography masterclass all rolled into one. Chris is running this workshop in future and I can't think of a better person to travel with. Landscape Locations are thorough with their research, planning and organisation so if you’re looking for a full on holiday and photo trip, there's no need to look further. Great memories, thanks to all the group.

Iceland Workshop January 2025 with Dave Nelson and Mal Crawford. I had been looking for a landscape workshop for a while and there are a lot of options out there, but it was the amazing images from Iceland on Melvin’s website that grab me. And I definitely made the right decision. The entire experience from booking and actually being in Iceland was fantastic. Dave kept in touch we us as we travelled and even entertained some of us that arrived early on the first day, saving us from a very boring day at the airport. The trip itself was very well organised with a wide range of beautiful landscapes for us to photograph. And there was always another option if the weather was a bit wild. I can not thank Dave Nelson enough not only is he a brilliant photographer with years of experience, his local knowledge of Iceland is great. He wants everyone on these trips to get the very best experience and really cares that they deliver. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made everything so much fun and on many occasions had me in stitches laughing. I can be a little scatty and loud but Dave made me feel very welcome and I look forward to working with him again. We were also very lucky to see the Aurora 3 nights in a row and Dave knew what to look for and where to go to get some amazing images. He did such an amazing job we named him the ‘Aurora God’ 😊 Dave and Mal as a team really work well together. And I felt so lucky to be working with 2 fantastic photographers. Mal’s style of landscape photography is absolutely stunning and a style I aspire to achieve. And again nothing was too much trouble for him, and the advice on composition and camera settings that he gave made a massive difference to the images I was getting. I could go on about how beautiful the country is and how amazing all the sites are but for me it was Dave and Mal who made my experience truely unforgettable and one of my favourite life experiences (as well as the wonderful people on the workshop too 😊) I will definitely but booking in another workshop with them again and would highly recommend the workshops that they offer to everyone, no matter what your photography abilities. So from the bottom of my heart thank you so much Dave, Mal and Melvin, what a way to start my 2025 x x x
