2025: Very nice self guided tour. The stewards had a lot of great info. The architecture was very unique. All original antique furnishings were beautifully maintained. Spectacular large stained glass window on the first landing of the rain staircase. Original bathroom plumbing and fixtures directly imported from London with the water closet several feet above the toilet. Several original vehicles on display in the garage. A great place to tour. Many more sights to see. Many collections within the rooms of the house.
A “must see” on Galveston Island. The docents were friendly and full of key information about the Moody Mansion and the family it raised. The door was opened by Herman, a kind man. Brenda on the second floor added so much context to our adventure. Moody Mansion was a pleasure to tour.
Had a wonderful time with my family! Our children range in ages 20-27 and everyone found it interesting for different reasons. Would recommend and would visit again.
