This tour was very informative and educational. It makes you want to dive into the history and learn more about this town and the history of the events and the deaths/ghosts you learn about. The only reason I didn’t make it a 5 star is because we would have loved to have been able to go into the places we visited. We went back and went into the Tremont on our own, which was an amazing place to visit with great energy. My son had a few experiences there while we were walking around. Overall, a pretty good experience that we’d do again. The photo has 3 things I’d like to know what it is if possible.

We did a Galveston Ghost Tour during the Lone Star Rally in November with guide Kimberly. We like doing ghost tours in historic cities and towns across America and we've done scores of them. This one did not disappoint. We ended up being a private walking tour as no one else scheduled during the rally, at least on Friday night, which was a bit of surprise to us. We rode both our motorcycles down from Hot Springs, but we aren't really partiers and weren't into the sitting around and drinking scene. We loved the rally, the show, the music and food, and all the vendors, but we were looking for something interesting to do by evening. This ghost tour was it! We're both history buffs and it was our first visit to Galveston, so we learned a lot of local history along with the ghost stories and sightings. What a fabulously interesting city! And that includes the pirate lore of Jean LaFitte! What we appreciated about our guide was very natural style of conveying the history and ghost stories. She was clearly very knowledgable and enjoyed the history and lore. A lot of ghost tour guides just recite scripts they've been given. Kimberly knew her stuff and could speak well on the subject and never sounded scripted and rote. She was a lot more educated and intelligent than a lot of guides in other places too — as often the paranormal types who want to be guides are exactly scholars of history and legend. So this was really refreshing! We also appreciated the guide's willingness to come out and brave the crowds and noise in downtown Galveston during the rally with massive partying crowds and roaring motorcycles. Kudos! The tour we booked was "The Grimoir Ghouls & Graves: Galveston Ghost Tour." I'll admit I hesitated to book with this tour company as an affiliate of US Ghost Adventures, which is basically a "chain" of ghost tours around the country—franchises. Often they are not run by locals and don't have that real local flavor. We had a disappointing experience with this company franchise in Savannah, for example. BUT . . . during the rally the other tours in town chose to shut down, something a number of businesses do during the rally days due to the crowds and revelry. This was the only tour offering bookings, so we chanced it and booked. We're glad we did! As something of connoisseurs of Ghost Tours, we were pleasantly surprised and very happy with the tour. We did the "upgrade" to add on a some additional sites not in hour long tour, which adds another half hour to the tour. We're glad we did that too. It was awesome. My husband and I highly recommend this Ghost Tour company in Galveston, and in particular Kimberly as a guide. Hopefully their other guides are as good!

The tour was so much fun! Our tour guide, Chris, was terrific!! He was charming, funny, and knew so much about the history of Galveston. We rented the EMF readers and the kids thought they were so cool! We loved our spooky tour! Highly recommend! Definitely ask for Chris!!

Mori was our guide. She knew her stuff and had a great presentation. The Galveston history lesson, as it related to the tour, was great. Appreciated her interest in making sure our questions were answered and that we had a good time, especially it being Halloween night!

Well you do walk around downtown Galveston, you do not enter any structures.. just stand outside of them and talk about what might be inside. A group of random people joined our tour while we were walking and our tour guide didn’t even address them, he even said “I’m ok with it, maybe they’ll tip” to us when we told him they’re people who didn’t purchase tickets on our tour.. seemed like a slap in our face for being ones who actually paid to do the tour! 😠… a lot of the info regarding the haunted areas downtown Galveston are easily accessible via google searches… 🤷♂️
