La guide n’a pas du tout respecté l’horaire en terme de départ et durée. Il était pratiquement question que de prostitution dans son discours alors que nous croyons avoir droit à un peu de tout dans cette visite. Aussi, on se sentait un peu d’insistance quand on accédait un lieu pour acheter un breuvage. La guide était toutefois très dynamique.
My grandson and his girlfriend were in town and it was our 50th anniversary. I wanted to do something different. So, we ate at Leeland House then took the Dark Side of the Moon tour after that. Don't think I will do that again in a hot time of year. It was hot and mosquitoes were out (bring bug spray). Rob gave us a lot of information. We had to really listen to take it all in. I enjoyed the history of it all. To us, the ghost part was just a little hokey, but who knows. Some would enjoy that. Rob knows his stuff, for sure. I don't really know how to make it better. It is what it is and as described. It would be nice to actually be able to go in to at least one place to experience it, rather than looking and listening from the sidewalk. Overall, I can't complain. It was as good as I think it could get.
Tour guide was new, but not bad. Old part of town, not much to see but some old buildings that had been around for a long time and we were given the history of most all which were the same. I could have gotten all this info on the internet for free and skipped walking around to hear about it. I'd recommend doing the other tour, if you drink, where you can hear the stories and go from bar to bar while talking with your guide as it would be less boring. He asked for us to tip if we liked it, but I feel that the price we paid should pay his wage and then some as I don't make that much money in a hour's worth of work, so why should the company get 5 people's hour wages and not be able to pay him a full wage? I saw nothing scary about the walk thru town at night, so I guess this just wasn't my cup of tea.
