Absolute highlight of our trip to Maui. Jen, Deb and Mel were fantastic in every single possible way. Our family of four with 2 kiddos had never snorkeled before. Consequently, we were a bit nervous. Jen and her team put us at ease from the get go. They provided all the snorkeling gear, including wetsuits. Before we went snorkeling, they taught us about the sea life we were going to encounter and about snorkeling in general. Now I know to never step on the coral!! My wife was so so scared about snorkeling, but she had her own private instructor in Jen who took her all the way deep into the water. At the end, my wife wanted to do even more snorkeling — because of Jen and her fabulous team, we booked another snorkeling excursion to Molikini later on in our trip!! They also take so many amazing pictures above and below water, it’s like you’re getting your own professional photo shoot! We saw turtles and so many fish, it was beautiful. Honestly, of all our travels, this was one of the best experiences we have ever had, I would 100% recommend Jen and her amazing team at Ocean Project Maui!
We had the absolute best experience! I would without a doubt recommend Ocean Project Maui to everyone who visits the island. This was our families third trip to Maui, but our first time snorkeling. Our kiddos are seven and nine and I wanted to take them on a snorkeling adventure, but I didn't want to spend all day stuck on a boat so that is when I discovered this option and it was perfect! The day before our scheduled tour they texted us with plans on where and when to meet up. Based on the time of year and what is happening with the weather they pick and choose strategically where is the best place to snorkel. They provided all the equipment and had enough size options to make everyone comfortable. This includes a wet suit which was amazing because they help you float so the kids didn't need to wear a life jacket and they had so much more fun with the freedom. Where we were at was calm waves. After gearing up we sat on the edge of the beach and had a hands-on learning experience. They taught us all about the wildlife we would see and how to protect the habitats. My kids love National Geographic shows and they loved this part. Then we went down to the ocean where we paired off. My daughter and I shared a boogie board and we had our own staff member with us. My husband and son had the same set up. The instructor would swim along side of us and tell you the names of the creatures we would be passing by. It was fantastic! The whole experience was just magical! I felt so much more comfortable swimming in the ocean after this trip. The experience was about three and a half hours and it was great for our family. It was amazing being able to see the wildlife up close. If you are looking for an adventure snorkeling Ocean Project Maui is absolutely fantastic!
Jen & Mel are great! They are so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We actually got to swim with sea turtles and Mel got wonderful pictures of us swimming with turtles together! I am afraid of water and Jen took good care of me. If you are looking for a snorkel tour, Ocean Project Maui is the one that you can't miss. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
