Went at night in winter and it was absolutely magical and still felt very safe, even walking around in the rain. The whole park was beautifully lit, with over a million lights throughout, which made the rainforest setting feel like something out of a movie. The suspension bridge at night is a real highlight: dramatic views into the canyon, a bit of a thrill underfoot, but never uncomfortable. The lighting on the walkways and paths was excellent, so it was easy to get around without worry, and everything felt well managed and well maintained despite the wet weather. If you’re visiting in winter, don’t let the rain put you off, just bring a good rain jacket and grippy shoes. The night-time lights alone are worth it, and it’s a unique way to experience Vancouver’s forest scenery. Highly recommended.
We visited the Capilano Suspension Bridge during the lights display and it was absolutely magical. The glowing forest, sparkling bridges, and beautifully lit pathways make you feel like you’ve stepped into a real-life fairy tale. It’s best to go in the late afternoon — you get to enjoy the forest in daylight and then end your visit with the stunning lights once the sun goes down. Perfect timing for photos and for taking in the full atmosphere. It did take some effort to capture everything because every corner is picture-worthy, but it was all worth it. A must-visit experience in Vancouver, especially during the light season!
The scenery was spectacular, showcasing the pristine grandeur of the rainforest and streams. Hiking the suspension bridge was quite enjoyable, taking one to two hours to complete the full circuit, with the staff's commentary being particularly entertaining. It rained on the day I visited, so the experience would be even better on a sunny day. The Christmas decorations created a strong festive atmosphere, making a visit during the holiday season a uniquely special experience.
