We went on the City Sightseeing bus and it was very good, the recorded Narrator on the bus was very clear and precise and also very interesting whilst travelling around the city, we went on the Hop on Hop off bus and you check out during your first trip around the city where you would like to get off and just go round again. We picked it up at another stop later on to get back to the station. The drivers we had were also very pleasant. Highly recommend to learn the history of Chester.
Great way to explore Chester. Adult ticket price is £10 which is a great price. Hop on and off at specific stops which are clearly marked with the sightseeing logo. Takes the stress out of exploring! Add additional £7.50 for a boat trip, saving of £2.50 which you can also buy on the bus. Running commentary in English, no need for ear plugs. Throughly enjoyed our day.
This was a wonderful tour and gave us a taste of the variety of things to see in Chester! After completing a full tour, we were able to choose several things that we wanted to see, and it was easy to Hop Off and On again at different points along the route. The 'guide' was actually a recorded commentary, with a recognisable accent (easy to understand) and LOTS of interesting information. This was the first thing we did after arriving in Chester, and we are SO GLAD that we did it because it made us realise that Chester is an absolutely fascinating city!!
