Burying Point

Burying Point offers an immersive and enchanting witch-themed photo experience inspired by Salem’s historic Olde Burying Point on Charter Street. Guests are welcomed into a moonlit cemetery scene with colonial homes reflecting over the water, creating a perfect backdrop for a spooky and magical atmosphere. Witch Pix has been an award-winning portrait studio and tourist destination since 2003, recognized as one of the “Most 9 Unique Travel Experiences in the USA” by Trip Advisor. Visitors can select from over 400 costumes catering to all sizes, ages, and genders, ranging from dark and mysterious to bright and vibrant, while working with a stylist to create the perfect look for their photo shoot.

The experience begins with check-in, followed by storing personal belongings, selecting costumes with the help of a stylist, and then moving into the photo session with full direction and posing from the photographer. Each participant receives multiple group and solo portraits, with images captured in both landscape and portrait modes and processed with various camera filters for added effect. Guests are advised that cell phone photography is not allowed in-studio, and they should wear a tank top for costume changes, while wigs, accessories, and footwear are not provided but can be purchased in the studio.
