Jackery Explorer 1000 — Two Units, Repeated Failures, and Deeply Disappointing Support Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I purchased two Jackery Explorer 1000 units at roughly $1,000 each, used them lightly, and still ended up with repeated failures and a customer service experience that has been frustrating, slow, and ultimately unhelpful. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Jackery. What Went Wrong Unit 1: Sudden failure with likely mainboard/protection board or battery issue. Out of warranty, Jackery’s “repair” path pushes costs and risk onto me, and only offers a 6‑month warranty on the replaced part—not the entire unit. If the battery is the root cause, they offered no true repair—just a trade-in gift card. Unit 2: Shows an overload icon running a ~37W air purifier—far below what this power station should handle. This suggests a pattern, not an isolated defect. Customer Service Experience Escalation refused or delayed: Multiple clear requests to escalate to a supervisor or customer relations were ignored or met with “the team reviewed,” without providing a decision-maker’s contact or ownership of the case. No meaningful goodwill: The “solution” offered was essentially near public sale pricing on a new 1000 V2 (plus 10% off) and a free carrying case. When the product is already on deep sale, that’s not meaningful support for two $1,000 units failing outside warranty with limited use. Limited warranty terms: Repair would carry only a 6-month warranty for the replaced part, not the whole system—unacceptable for a mixed-age device where other expensive components can fail next. Logistics roadblocks: Despite offering video evidence of the failures (376 MB), Jackery provided no working upload portal and relied on email with size limits, delaying the process. RMA return boxes/labels were not proactively provided. Repeated follow-ups required: I had to send multiple escalation requests (five) to even get partial responses. The lack of urgency was striking given the product category and cost. Why This Matters These are critical power devices marketed at a premium price point. When two units exhibit failures—one potentially at the battery level and another at a trivial 37W load—customers deserve a repair path that is clear, capped, and backed by a full-unit warranty, or a replacement option that reflects true goodwill. Instead, I encountered slow responses, minimal concessions, and an insistence on pushing risk and cost back to me. What Jackery Could Have Done Provide a real escalation path with a named manager/owner and direct contact. Offer prepaid RMA boxes and clear, not-to-exceed written quotes for repair, including diagnostic, labor, shipping both ways, and taxes—before I ship. If battery is the root cause, offer a viable remedy beyond a gift card: either a battery replacement or a like-for-like replacement at a goodwill price materially better than public sale, with a full new-unit warranty. For any repair, warranty the entire unit for at least 12 months—not just the replaced part. Bottom Line In my experience, Jackery’s support and policies do not match the premium pricing of their products. Two costly units, limited use, repeated failures, and an escalation process that felt like a dead end. If reliability and responsive support matter to you, consider this a cautionary tale before purchasing.

V2 1000power station I bought a v2 1000 with solar panel and car charger. In August 2025. When arrived I thought this looks and feels great, turned it on and it was powered to 28% already so plugged it in to fully power it. Started to use once fully powered everything seemed fine until it got to 28% then it powered down really fast for instance on the video I sent in to Jackery, my portable kettle which uses 5kw of power normally, but it dropped from 30% to 12%, i recharged the unit in full only to find it drop again from 28% to 6%, I informed Jackery of the situation within the 30 days of buying the unit that due to this I would like a refund under the 30 days money back guarantee. This was bought and reported back in August, they have now come back and said this is normal for the power to drop quickly from 20% to 0% I have not had this issue with my previous unit of 18 years (not Jackery). Awaiting response from the poor customer service dept.

Buyer Beware!! This may be a decent product, but it lacks the website or warranty support that it's customers demand! I purchased a Jackery 1000 Plus and two 100 watt solar panels this past July and had success using my setup on a recent RV trip. What overshadows this fact is that there is an issue with the website that others have brought up before. I tried to work with Jackery to provide screen shots and an explanation of what their website was or wasn't doing. My issues continue to be the following: 1. No info provided when I click on My Extended Warranty... 2. My Order still shows as being shipped, even though I received it in July. 3. No evidence on my online account of what my registered equipment serial numbers are. My concern is...what happens if I have a problem with my Jackery during it's alleged 5 year warranty period and I need repairs? Most documented issues with Jackery have to do with them not honoring their warranty when people have problems with their equipment. My advice is to thoroughly research them before purchasing their product. If you are going to spend that much money on a product, you should have the necessary support to protect your investment in that product.

I am quite shocked at some of these negative reviews. I did my research before buying my Jackary 500 and 240, along with solar panels. Lots of good reviews on YouTube, and I have heard from 3 locals in my area that are pleased with theirs. Yes made in China, but the company is based in Fremont, CA, so I received mine within 2 days. I really like the fact I can call them and an American will answer the phone. That is worth a few extra bucks for me. There are so many knockoffs on Amazon right now, but you will not get any customer support if you happen to get a lemon. Many of those do not feature how many Watts you are drawing, and they have inaccurate bar scales instead of percentage of power displays. I recommend Jackary products from my experience using mine all winter for power outages. Jackary does often discount several older models for holiday promotions. Get on their email list to take advantage. Quality products from my experience! 2025 Update: I now own several more Jackery portable power stations and solar panels. The new Plus and V2 models have lithium iron phosphate batteries that recharge faster than the originals with up to 4,000 cycles. All my units came with a 5 year warranty which is much better than the knock-offs. So far no problems whatsoever. Yes, Goal Zero, Anker, Bluetti, and Deltaflow are good brands as well, and some of those units feature better DC (solar) input with higher wattages. However, every Jackery unit I own is quality, works every time I need, and I am so glad to have them at the ready when the power goes out! Fun to camp with them as well.

Disaster, Dear Jackery Team, You sent me a defective Jackery 1000 pro. This device is used. I am sending you some photos. I am giving up on the purchase. I am on vacation until August 19, 2024. From August 20, 2024 we have to solve this, I want to return the Jackery 1000pro solar generator and 200w solar panel in one piece. The shipment arrived today, August 26, 2024, around 4:00 p.m Deutschland . They sent two power cables and no cable for charging the car. I waited a long time for the delivery and in the end they sent a used and defective device. Horror, you can't believe what happens. 😳😢 Why are you doing this, I don't understand
