Spectacular place, absolutely worth the visit. You can park the car lower down on the right side of the road. That’s the most convenient option. It’s best to book tickets online in advance as they’re cheaper than buying on site. Please note that you also need to pay entry to the national park (18 zł per person). The walk up to the lake takes about 2 hours at a relaxed pace, and the route is well maintained and scenic the whole way. If you don’t feel like walking, there’s also a traditional horse carriage ride (góralska przejażdżka) available for 70 zł one way. The lake itself is truly spectacular, surrounded by mountains and is the one of the most beautiful places in the Tatras. Highly recommended.

This is actually a late review bcs I visited Morskie Oko a month ago during autumn. 15km-walk was insane for me but the scenery was absolutely worth the efforts. The mountain is beautiful, the lake is gorgeous, but the place was a bit crowded when I was there bcs I visited during a public holiday. Regarding the walk, if you feel like walking that far is overwhelming, they actually provide some horse carts that cost about 30 PLN. There’s a resto not too far from Morskie Oko. The foods are good and the price is acceptable, but they only take cash for payment (preparing some cash before travelling here will be good).

Beautyful place which absolutely worth a visit. Parking place must be booked in advance to avoid surprise on the spot. Parking fee is a bit high PLN 150. Parking spaces are limited and lots of people are visiting the place. 8.5 km walk uphill and the same downhill can be a challenge for some people!!!! No official information available about horse carriage availability and prices. :( Unfortunately 1 November was a public holiday when the horse carriages were not available, which we were informed only on site. Expexct additional Tatra National Park entry fee of PLN 11 per person. Horse carriage can be paid in cash only. Be prepared if you would like to use the service.

8km/2 boring hours of reaching the lake on foot 😑🥴 don't get me wrong, yes you are surrounded by mountains view, but you have to walk on asphalt🤌 of course, you can pay "only" 100zl and go with horses there faster 💁 poor animals... Lake is beautiful! Clean water and so many people 😅 we reached the lake 10 o'clock in the morning..and it was already too crowed! MY ADVISE: buy tickets(parking and pass to the lake) before! It must! otherwise you'll stay in line about 2hours till you finally get it. Don't be lazy to get up early and be there 7in the morning, at least you'll be able to enjoy not only the view, but to sit there in silent 🧘🏽♀️ And if you think that this lake is amazing and wanna see more like this, don't be lazy to visit his brother Czarny staw, which is little bit higher, but that lake is just breaking 😍🥰

It is a 5 star place, but after the 2nd visit, I don't give 5 stars to this place, because I don't like how the 'horse business' is run here. Tourists arrive to the parking place, which is over 8 kilometers away from the lake, then climb on a boring paved road to the lake. They watch, then another 8 km to go back. Anyone can buy tickets to the horse cart, the one way ticket costs 100PLN, which is a expensive. On our 1st trip we saved this cost, then we and our child were so tired at the Morskie Oko, that we did not visit the upper lake and we regret it. We came back 2nd time without children we wanted to see the the upper lake (Czarny Staw under Rysy) so we sit on the horse cart, paid the price - poor horses pulling up slowly 12 persons (1200kg) - and got to the lake fresh. Then we could climb up the hill to the upper lake. Then we walked downhill on foot and that took 2.5-3 hours without much added value. This long road is waste of time and energy! I don't like this, because in similar places in the world this is usually solved by (electric) shuttle buses (e.g Kehlsteinhaus, Germany) and there is enough place for that and the tourist could hike, spend more time in the environment, which is really beautiful and not boring at all. But it seems here the horse riders have priority, 12*100 PLN/ride is a nice income. Poor horses!
