Barranco del Sord

The Barranco del Sord is a thrilling canyoning adventure designed for those with some previous experience in abseiling and canyon exploration. Located in the town of Abdet in the Guadalest Valley, this dry limestone ravine provides a vertical and exciting route, offering multiple rappels of varying heights, including two longer ones of fifteen and twenty five meters. The first rappel has a small pool below that can be avoided, while the second is a free rappel, requiring confidence and control. Along the way, narrow canyon paths and striking limestone formations make the experience visually impressive, while short warm-up rappels at the start help prepare for the more challenging sections.
