This Mount Kenya trek follows the most popular route to Point Lenana, offering the fastest access to the summit. The route passes through the challenging vertical bog before opening into the wide Teleki Valley beneath the Tryndall and Lewis Glacier. While not the most scenic, this classic route is ideal for climbers seeking a quicker ascent. Over four days, you will experience varied landscapes, rugged terrain, and breathtaking views of Africa’s second-highest peak. For best results, an overnight acclimatization at the base, Naromoru River Lodge, is highly recommended and can be arranged for an extra fee. This trek combines adventure, physical challenge, and the chance to enjoy the unique flora and fauna of Mount Kenya’s slopes.
The trek includes all meals such as breakfast, lunch, and dinner, treated water on the trek, guaranteed trek on confirmation, transfers to and from the base, and a certificate upon successful completion. Please note that infants must not sit on laps, infant seats are unavailable, and the trek is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. It is not suitable for pets, and there is no public transportation nearby. Exclusions include laundry, tips, sleeping bags, drinks, accommodation before the trek, climbing gear, visas, international flights, and any other items not listed in the itinerary. Pickup is available from Airbnb and private apartments. This Mount Kenya trek provides a challenging but rewarding experience with unforgettable views and a sense of accomplishment at the summit.
