Thanks to Dhondup, Lobsang, and Pasang's team, we had a wonderful 14-day trip in Tibet. Dhondup helped me design the travel route and answered all my questions. He also assisted in reviewing each temple we wanted to visit. Additionally, he was very clear about the prices and services that the team could provide. Lobsang was our guide for the entire 14-day trip. He led us to at least 20 temples in the Lhasa and Shigatse areas. Lobsang is extremely knowledgeable about Tibetan Buddhism and the history of each temple. Throughout the trip, he took great care of all our needs, recommending excellent restaurants and interesting places to visit. Pasang drove safely and professionally. Overall, this was a very professional team, and they provided great value for our Tibet tour.

Great trip!!! We decided to book our trip with Tibetan Guide after seeing a recommendation in a blog post. We planned everything several months in advance, and they handled all the required permits, which were delivered to our hotel in China a few days before the trip. Once we contacted them by email, Yonten replied promptly with a detailed six-day plan and several hotel options. We arranged a private tour for the three of us, including my 82-year-old mother. When we arrived in Lhasa, Lobsang (our guide) and Pasang (our driver) were waiting at the airport. Lobsang was friendly and knowledgeable about the history, temples, and every place we visited. Pasang drove safely and played music from his home region, Tingri, which made the journey more pleasant. We were fully satisfied with the trip and with how helpful and considerate everyone from Tibetan Guide was. I would recommend this agency to anyone planning to travel to Tibet. I am glad that I choose the Tibetan Guide as my agency for my Tibet trip. They did exceed all my expectations and made of my trip a unique experience. Every part of the tour was as described in the itinerary and we as group even received upgrades in the stays. They were super patient also with my 1000 questions before booking with them. The guide Sonam was great in making sure that everyone’s wishes were met when possible and answering all the questions from the group. He also tried to explain the best what we were seeing in the temples, monasteries and accommodate the itinerary to the times as they were described in the beginning. For me, every day of the 8 days of the friendship tour made of it a complete tour. I think they even offer an extra night compared to other similar tours. And the hotels were more than we expected. I can only recommend them if you are looking for an agency in Tibet and also if you are traveling alone, as they help you have the best out of the activities. Thank you Dhondup, Sonam and team.

I contacted Tibetan Guide a couple of months before our trip to inquire about a short private tour in early September. Dhondup responded promptly with a detailed itinerary and took care of all the necessary arrangements, including our Tibet Travel Permits, which were ready for collection during our layover at the airport hotel. There was a small hiccup with the tracking number not being shared in advance, but Dhondup responded quickly and resolved it without issue. Throughout the planning process, Dhondup was consistently patient, responsive and helpful. The itinerary was thoughtfully arranged, allowing us to acclimatize gradually to the high altitude without feeling rushed. We were paired with an excellent local guide and driver, Dawa and Tashi - who were both professional and attentive throughout the journey. Dhondup went above and beyond by checking in with us on our first day, arranging a welcome lunch on the second day and making sure everything was going smoothly. Thankfully, none of us experienced major altitude sickness, and the entire trip went off without a hitch. I highly recommend Tibetan Guide to anyone considering a trip to Tibet. Truly wonderful experience. Going to Tibet was always a dream of mine, and Tibetan Guide was an essential part of making it a reality. From the very beginning, Mimi was highly communicative, allaying any concerns I had and helping contruct a tour suited to our desires. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, with a traditional Khatag scarf and welcome dinner. They even put together a birthday surprise for my stepdad last moment! The tour itself was great. Big shout out to guide Sunum and driver Bearma who accommodated us every step of the way. We always felt safe being driven around, and Sunum was a wealth of knowledge, as well as showing concern for my parents when they got stick. Overall the tour was well organised, highly communicative, safe, and offered lots of treats and surprises along the way as we explored the beautiful land of Tibet.
