recently, while walking along the coastline, I was unable to continue past the hotel’s property. I had no intention of using the hotel’s facilities or entering private areas — I just wanted to walk along the shoreline, as is usually done when strolling by the sea. According to Law No. 3621 on Coasts (Kıyı Kanunu), the coastline is public property, and I had every right to walk there. I find it unacceptable when access to public coastal areas is restricted. The law fully regulates the use of coasts, including prohibitions on physical barriers such as walls, fences, wires, and other obstructions. For professional verification, the full text of the law can be consulted here: Kıyı Kanunu №3621 (FAO) After this incident, my confidence that I truly want to visit this hotel has been somewhat shaken, even though the hotel itself still looks very attractive.
Generally the ambience, service and availability of activities is good however the experience is sullied by ‘pain points’ of unprofessionalism for instance the sailing queue appears to be less a queue and a way for those who shout loudest to elbow all others out of the way meaning after over an hour of waiting you are still waiting and have no clue when you may be able to go (nods to say you’ll be soon aren’t good enough). A similar anecdote would be in the Olympic family games when you’re three year old whose waited patiently and is last in the queue gets his turn and the cones have been taken away before he gets a chance to go. There have been plenty of other moments like this where is seems those who are rude or have sharp elbows succeed at the expense of ordinary polite people who treat the staff with respect.
It's super close to 5 stars. The staff, service and the food are all excellent. Every day the team here makes an effort to put on amazing events and everyone participates, dressing up and getting into the spirit of things. I love the fact that everyone joins in and shares these experiences. This was our fist all inclusive holiday and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The only thing to caution people on is if there is an on shore breeze / the tide isn't right there can be a lot of plastic in the water on the brach. It wasn't every day, but under certain conditions. I'm the right conditions though it's super clear and great snorkelling right off the beach.
