Echigoya has a superb selection of Airsoft goods. I wasn’t too familiar the hobby and I wanted to bring home a few gifts. This place has more than enough selections for a noob like myself up to firearms for the seasoned aficionado. I ended up getting a few Marui pistols (both were priced about mid 4000 yen about $25-$27). They look great but they’re just super simple, pull the slide back to load and pull the trigger. It’s fun for simple target practice from 10-15 yards away. The next time I go back I’ll probably look into the compressed air variants.

I purchased this 1911 style airsoft handgun in early July 2025. The store was well stocked and the staff were of course very knowledgeable. The lady I spoke with was fluent in English. The rest of this review is about my experience bringing the airsoft back to the US. Staff clearly notes that she could not guarantee that customs would allow me to bring it back. I was successful and this is what I did: I separated the upper receiver and packed both (photo has them reassembled) inside a hard case also purchased for $16 at this store. On top of the airsoft, inside the case, I kept the receipts and the instructions manuals that clearly identify the gun as an airsoft toy. I then packed the case in one of my checked bags. At Narita airport, the bag was pulled and the case removed for checking. The staff checked the information, handled the airsoft, then repacked the case. No additional costs nor problems occured. I now enjoy shooting safely at home and at airsoft events.

I purchased a GGB handgun and extra magazines, and before the final checkout the cashier had opened each product to carefully inspect it himself and allowed me to inspect it. He checked for any scratches or manufacturing blemishes, any gas leaks in the mags (after filling them a little). Also the tested the pistol and reflex sight. They did this for everyone purchasing a replica firearm. Not sure if all Japanese stores do this but I respected it and appreciated it. They feature a wide variety of replica firearms, accessories, and gear. The staff are knowledgeable and very kind. Some speak great english, so don't be afraid for asking about recommendations, questions, and even personal favorite items. Recap/Summary: Prices are competitive (good pricing). Large selection of quality guns, gear, and most things you are looking for. Staff are next level kind seriously Free sake shot if you want to take it before entering. Thank you to the staff member who sold me the TM D.O.R. 2011 Hi-Cappa. You are awesome and probably goated at airsoft.
