Totally worth visiting. We walked from the HoiAn town centre. Or can take Grab. Tickets can buy at the entrance. Pottery village has a big and really nice museum in it, many shops, many opened pottery studios ( in home). Cafe in Museum. Very nice place

It was really rainy when we went but still enjoyable. The ground can be very slick when wet, be careful. It appears the free gifts you get are the demonstrations of how they use the foot pedal and make the pottery. The museum and gardens are a separate ticket from the village and I think worth a look. Very interesting history about the Chăm people.

The pottery village was very cute. I definitely recommend going if you are in Hoi An. I walked there from the old town which took approx 45mins. You can just walk into the village. I was expecting to have to pay an entrance fee but couldn’t find the ticket office? There are plenty of shops offering to teach you how to make a little terracotta pots and they also sell very cute trinkets. I unfortunately didn’t make anything because I don’t think it’s the best thing to put in my backpack. Nevertheless I loved strolling around and taking a look in the shops. I went at midday and it wasn’t crowded.

Visit only if you have plenty of time in hoi an. This place is far from main town area. Tickets cost 35k vnd pp where you can choose a souvenir pp from any of the 3 shops they mention. Ticket wasn’t actually necessary as you walk through the lanes and many local shops have same pottery classes and stuffs to sell. Pottery making experience is free with the ticket , but they insist you very much on buying and some places even charge you extra 50k for the pottery making experience. So ask before you start. At one place they said the experience is free and I tried my hands. But they helped me a lot to make the product look good so that I end up buying it. We couldn’t take it with us as we didn’t have space in luggage and it is delicate and have to wait until it dries up. So we had some drinks at the same place which was reasonably priced and very delicious. The place name is cafe GOM. Souvenir- its a cute animal where you can blow whistle! There is also a pottery museum and the tickets cost extra. We did not go here.
