Reindeer Safari at a 200-Year-Old Farm & 2.5 km Sled Ride

The Reindeer Safari with Arctic GM offers a truly authentic Lapland winter experience. Guests are picked up from their Rovaniemi accommodation in brand-new 2025 luxury 4x4 vans with heated interiors and extra comfort. Upon arrival at a working 200-year-old family reindeer farm, visitors are welcomed by local herders and introduced to their reindeer herd. Participants can then enjoy a 2.5 km sled ride through snowy forests, guided by the gentle pace of the reindeer, while learning about the animals’ care, life, and cultural importance. The experience is enhanced with storytelling from the herders, warm drinks by the fire, and the opportunity to earn an official Reindeer Driving License certificate as a fun and memorable keepsake.

The day continues with more personal interaction with the reindeer, including feeding and exploring the farm, giving guests a deeper understanding of traditional reindeer herding passed down through generations. Arctic GM ensures small groups of a maximum of eight guests for a comfortable and intimate experience.
