Your adventure takes place within the **Baia Underwater Archaeological Park**, where the remains of the ancient Roman city of **Baia** rest beneath the sea. Once a luxurious retreat for Roman emperors and nobles, the city gradually submerged due to volcanic activity in the **Phlegraean Fields** and the natural geological phenomenon known as bradyseism. Today, beautifully preserved Roman villas, intricate mosaics, marble floors, statues, and ancient streets lie approximately four meters below the surface, creating a remarkable blend of history, archaeology, and marine life.

Before entering the water, you'll complete a brief medical questionnaire and introductory e-learning session, followed by a comprehensive lesson covering scuba equipment, essential diving techniques, and underwater safety procedures. All diving equipment is provided, and your professional instructors remain by your side throughout the approximately 45-minute boat dive, ensuring a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable first diving experience.

After returning to the diving center, you can freshen up using the changing rooms and showers while enjoying light refreshments. As an added benefit, this officially certified experience counts as your first dive toward the **PADI Open Water Diver** certification, recognized worldwide.
