Discover Scuba Diving in the Park of Baia

Discover Scuba Diving is the perfect first time underwater experience and no license is required to join. Suitable for participants aged ten years and above, this program follows PADI standards and introduces you safely to the world of scuba diving. You will explore the fascinating underwater remains of the ancient Roman city of Baia, once a symbol of luxury and elegance. Due to volcanic activity in the Phlegrean Fields and the natural phenomenon of bradisism, parts of this historic city slowly sank over time and now rest beneath the sea. Today, Roman villas, mosaics, marble floors, and statues lie preserved about four meters underwater, creating a truly unique diving environment rich in history and marine life.

Before diving, you will complete a short form to determine if a medical certificate is required, along with brief e learning preparation. At the diving center, experienced instructors will guide you through a theoretical lesson covering basic diving knowledge, equipment use, and underwater safety. All diving equipment is provided, and you only need to bring a swimsuit, towel, and clean clothes. The dive itself lasts around forty five minutes and takes place by boat within the Baia Archaeological Park, with instructors always by your side to ensure comfort and safety. After returning to the center, you can enjoy showers, changing rooms, and light refreshments. This experience is officially certified and counts as your first dive toward a PADI Open Water Diver course, valid worldwide.
