Kemah Aquarium Summer Camp Blends Science, Adventure, and Conservation Learning

The Kemah Aquarium’s Summer Camp is offering young participants an immersive educational experience designed to inspire curiosity and creativity. The program introduces campers to the roles of Marine Biologists and Herpetologists, allowing them to explore both marine and terrestrial ecosystems through structured, hands-on learning activities.

Each day features a mix of scientific exploration and interactive discovery, including fish anatomy studies, squid dissections, reptile care activities, and guided lessons on coral reefs and kelp forests. These experiences help students understand species adaptations, ecological balance, and the importance of environmental conservation in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

In addition to science-based learning, campers participate in themed role play, creative projects, and teamwork-driven investigations that reinforce critical thinking and collaboration. The program also includes recreational outings at the Kemah Boardwalk, featuring rides, train adventures, and interactive games that balance education with fun.
