Guided ATV Tour Offers New Way to Explore Denali’s Backcountry

A guided ATV adventure in Denali National Park is giving visitors a new way to experience Alaska’s wilderness beyond traditional hiking routes. Covering approximately 10 miles of backcountry terrain, the tour allows participants to access remote areas of taiga and tundra with greater ease and efficiency.

The route includes about one and a half hours on trails that showcase sweeping mountain views, wildlife sightings, and expansive natural scenery. By using ATVs, guests are able to reach locations that would otherwise require hours of hiking, offering a broader perspective of the park’s rugged landscape.

All vehicles used in the tour are automatic four-by-four ATVs, including Side-by-Side models designed for easy handling. Before the main ride begins, participants complete a short practice session and obstacle course to become familiar with the machines and trail conditions.

Guides provide continuous instruction and support throughout the experience, ensuring safety and comfort for all riders. Alaska state regulations apply, with minimum age and licensing requirements depending on vehicle type, helping maintain a secure and well-managed adventure through Denali’s wilderness.
