Enjoy your hike/lunch/sauna/jump in the lake! August 2025 For our family outing from Helsinki, we went on this hike/lunch/sauna/jump in the lake. We had an awesome tour guide, Jeff. He was such a fun guide, happy, good stories (especially about sauna competition). We loved his cheerfulness. Good explanations about mushrooms in the forest, which he sautéed up for our lunch. Thank you. This was a highlight of our 10-day stay in Helsinki.

A Memorable Day Tour in Sipoonkorpi National Park. One of the highlights was learning about the different types of mushrooms that thrive in the area. Our guide provided detailed descriptions, helping us identify edible varieties and those best left untouched. It was both educational and fun to discover the natural bounty of the forest! As we wandered through the park, we stumbled upon fresh blueberries that were both delicious and abundant. It was a joy to pick them right off the bushes and taste their sweetness—definitely a highlight of the walk! To top it all off, we ended our day with a traditional sauna experience. Stepping into the warm, inviting space was a true delight. The sauna was beautifully crafted, providing the perfect ambiance for relaxation. The heat enveloped us, easing all our tensions as we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It was a wonderful way to unwind after our adventures in nature. Overall, this day tour was an unforgettable experience that beautifully combined nature, culture, and culinary delights. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the stunning beauty of Finland while enjoying a unique and authentic experience!

A wonderful visit to the heart of Finnish nature! We had a great time, everything was well organised and prepared, and our guide was very enthusiastic and friendly! We travelled with 6 other people and it was perfect! The mushroom season was great to discover and our guide was an expert! We had a very good meal and then had time to try out the 4 different saunas on the site and have a nice swim in the lake. All the facilities are there to make sure we have a great time! Thank you, it was fantastic!

I researched for tour operators in Finland and read A LOT of good stuff about Taiga Times and was pleased to finally go for one of their Magical Taiga Forest trip! I brought my parents (aged 70+) and they found the walk easy to manage! Alex was a delightful and entertaining guide, ensuring our utmost safety throughout 💯! He was also incredibly kind and open in sharing all sorts of knowledge and allowed us to have a go at chopping firewood and building fire (as we were a bunch of city folks), which was a very fun, spontaneous and experiential element which we would never forget. We got to pick lots of blueberries and enjoy them for lunch too. It was a nice way to end off our trip in Finland and we were very happy we got to do it. I’ll definitely recommend Taiga Times to anyone, and am happy to join more of their trips if we return to Finland!

We had gone for the Archipelago Excursion in Porkkalaniemi From Helsinki. The tour was very well organized and we had a really good time. Max, our guide, was quite passionate about nature and the outdoors and he explained details of the geography and flaura and fauna of the Porkkalaniemi archipelago region. The lunch was also quite delicious. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get out of Helsinki for half a day and be in nature.
